This certainly is interesting, but it's not really a shortcut. After the tank, the rest of the bridge is essentially a straight-line dash to the helicopter. If you just keep left on the tilted segment and have a pipe bomb/adrenaline handy (which you should have if you're going for the Bridge Over Trebled Slaughter achievement), it's probably faster just to run it normally.
