  • thats probably the longest way of side-chaining.

  • wow, crappy tutorial.

  • this video is fukd

  • sidechaining isn't something that people just know, so you might want to explain that or else they're not going to get the sound you're promising.

  • How can I connect my synthesizer to the computer? which cable i need for that? where are the settings for that? please respond

  • @lazicsale if you have an analog synth, you just have to record it with a mic. if you have a MIDI keyboard, you just plug it in via USB, or MIDI cables to an audio interface with MIDI capabilities. if you don't know what this stuff means, google it. hope it helps.

  • u suck

  • tryin to make the same..got totally different sound :)

  • I feel like I've been drinking watching this

  • where you drunk recording this?

  • Could you post the the link of ur RNS file plz ?

  • Shit tutorial

  • i have a quastion.

why is my synth changing? at first is how i set it up but while it keeps playing it changes to something else and i can't figure out why

  • hey can you post the .rns file?

  • your tutorial sucks men

  • can u make a new version of this tutorial? pleasee

im new to reason and u explain too fast :S

the sound is great btw ;D

  • I thought your pace was perfect. I'd prefer an HD video showing the full screen instead of the moving camera, but it doesn't make it much more difficult to follow.

  • You can use a stereo imager to Split, Gives a better split than the EQ thing you did :) You can click solo Low band, than flip it and change seperate out to high band, and alter the frequency to your liking :) Instant Frequency Split

  • Looks like producer kits

    awsome

but keep in mind that this video will also be seen by beginners.

so make more legible and clear as these has a lot of confusing repetitions

  • it's impossible to follow you. i try the best that i can, but it's really impossible. at least when you're gonna split it - too difficult to follow.

  • great patch!! had to pause about every second to keep up, but still - nice one!!

  • Pretty easy to follow if you're an experienced reason user, the catch I see is that the zoom is too close so the slightest mouse movement makes the 'camera' move a lot...

  • I kinda like how you did it fast because after all the trial and error I had to do... I remember it and kinda understand it more haha

  • could you maybe do another tutorial for this, or post a download link for the patch? Sounds great though... I just wish I could get the sound you made

  • kan u remake this video but slower...please?

  • wicked tutorial by the way...I'm glad i have two monitors,

  • Where did you get your kick and snare from. Thanks

  • how to see the back panel???

  • way to fast

  • omfg. hahaha great sound but this is the worst tutorial ever :D. Great sound though!

  • what patch drum do you use ?

  • awesome tutorial, but slooowww down next time. I go pretty quick but you zoom up n down n all over the place while ur explaining things...

  • can u save this preset of combinator and upload it somewhere or maybe this mini project and upload it on zippy? :)

  • great stuff but wayy too fast!

  • Ehy buddy, tnx a lot for this tutorial, your patch sounds great to me. I just feel to ask you why you are using Eqs for multiband processing ??? It may work better with stereo imagers since they split and cut the frequencies... Its just a guess.

  • i have to pause the video every second

  • Thanks a whole heap for this! It took some time and patience but I finally got it, was about to give up until I realized I hadn't initialized the Thor and Scream components so that's why it wasn't sounding like yours for ages. Kudos keep it up!

  • SHIT

    who are you ?

how do you know so much about frequencies and that ?

  • shit

    who are you ?

  • CAN SOMEONE WHO ACHIEVE IT UPLOAD THE PROJECT TO MEGAUPLOAD OR MEDIAFIRE OR WATHEVER PLEASE?

  • damn fast tutorial man!! but, great job!!

  • Thanks for the headache, tits.

  • My God! F***** Epic I finally finished it. Mine sounds just a bit sharp, but amazing.

  • This is the best Justice bass Ive heard. Sadly its just impossible to follow this tutorial. Sometimes I couldn't figure out which distortion or equalizer you were tweaking. Could you make another slower tutorial or just e-mail the project file? I really think its the most authentic sounding justice bass.

  • awesome! :)

  • So awesome ! But way too complicated for me. All this stuffs and jungle cable would make me cry. Have you any tips for Logic pro ?

  • So awesome ! But way too complicated for me. All this stuffs and jungle cable would make me cry. Have you any tips for Logic pro ?

  • You probably know by now that the tutorial is pretty hard to follow but it's good and I got this eventually ;) How did you learn to get this down, ergo how did you learn to make full use of all the endless methods to get a certain sound in Reason? Any recommendations (besides the obvious trial and error combinatons)?? Thanks!

  • @mmMASHPOWER two words 'music theory' learning what everything does and what role it plays. read rick snowmans 'dance music manual volume 2'.

  • hi,

the main idea is here .. but the problem is that it sounds "cheap". sorry i mean nothing unpleasant. but the very important thing in justice sound is the quality of the fat sound. you can add disto, copress octaves but you miss the mud. i guess this comes from reason.

  • @monsterslovesushi haha are you serious? have you ever thought of the fact, that youtube *always* sounds like shit compared to the real thing?

  • this is absolutely amazing. I just got reason yesterday but I don't even know where to begin with it hah. Anyway that's an amazing sound you've got there!

  • very good info here. but goddam, you go way too fast to keep up especially with the patching. i got it done but it took me ages pausing and rewinding for almost an hour.

  • god, all people do is complain. these vids are easy to follow.

  • Camera would be the only problem, admittedly I know shit about reason.

  • Can you please email me the project file that would be way easier ?

  • are u serious. guy. whats up with the horrible vide.. shakey and wobbly cool technic but you go waaay to fast and u cant see sh!t retry buddy cause you have some great info

  • @mynus303 i understood everything.

maybe u just dont know reason very well.

  • my eyes can't move fast enough!!!!!

  • Good skills but rather than filming with a camera try recording the monitor output or using a tripod. The shakeycam is a bit tough on the eye

  • hold shift while inserting a new device

  • yo dude can you please make another tutorial?

your sound is so sweet but i just cant follow

  • "thats basically it" haha

  • Good god. TerribleHands is right. You go sooo fast i need this explained further please?

  • I cannot follow it. I tried following it, but mine doesn't sound like this at all.

  • make sure you initialize scream, it sounds stupid if you don't initialize all of them

  • you wanna try again? waaayyy too fast bruh

  • Thanks!

  • Because the camera moves around so much, it's really hard to watch this tutorial, and pausing it to see how things are routed and/or set is also really difficult. Any chance of a transcript?

  • wtf man

  • duuuuuude......... hold shift when you create and instrument and you wont have that "irritating" problem

  • did all the plugins come with reason or did you have to download?

  • i got nauseous watching this and puked on my laptop

  • the camera moves too much, didn't care about the speed of the info, i found this button called "pause" and it makes wonders!

  • you've got an annoying voice. please don't make any more tutorials where you actually speak. use text only.

    thanks.

  • could please post a screenshot or a more detailed section on the cables setup , its to fast for me to keep up.

    cheers

  • hey bro! can you share the combi preset?

    i use a similar bass =)

    btw nice tut

    greetings from Mexico!

  • my merger/splitter doesnt have cables when i create the instrument??? what am i doing wrong?

  • Nice tutorial dude :)

  • wayy too confusing especially with all the back cables and the camera motion. Could you redo this one and slow it down?

  • Mate that was a top tutorial i'd never though about spliting the bands and using multiple screams on them keep up the good work fella :)

  • you can never have enough distortion :D

    nice tut mate, inspiring

  • Great sounding bass and fantastic tutorial, aside from the speed. I've spent over an hour trying to follow along and I still seem to be missing something subtle in the overall sound of mine.

Could you be cool and send or post an .rns file of this bass? Big cheers! Thanks.

  • is the sound of the synth at the beginning played with chords or single notes?

  • single notes :)

  • you have these downloadable as refills or patches anywhere?

  • jeez man, what the fuck is that? do you call it tutorial? you have to explain every step you make. but you run and it's just impossible even to remember what you are doing. plus the camera is moving too fast. please

  • yeah sorry. im still getting the hang of making them. the future ones should be better.

  • cheers man, thanks for that

  • @m4tt3h I think it's okay ^^ you're just going a little bit too fast for the screen recorder haha thanks m4tt!

  • @JriMoeGovno I agree, this should be considered an advanced tutorial .. not for beginners..

  • @JriMoeGovno Give him a chance dude he is providing a free tut!!

  • @JriMoeGovno Jeez man what the fuck is that? You have to criticize blah blah blah.

It's his first time, lighten up asshole.

  • well.. I don't understand this tutorial fuck all, but it sounds brutal anyway.

  • I dont understand why you put 4 equalizers on 1 synth... whats the purpose of that? Couldnt you do all the equalizing in 1 equalizer?

And then putting a distortion unit on an equalizer??

  • the eq changes how the distortion reacts to the signal.

then to remove all unwanted frequenys after it.

its just about getting the tone of sound. more than what one eq can do.

  • so your basically adding distortion to frequency bands?

  • pre distortion eq is mainly to make the distortion to distort the specific boosted freq more. or not distort the cut freqs not as much.

  • awesome tutorial but could you please post a slower version?

  • Nice tut is there anyway i could get this on reason format?

  • Great sound, but waaay to fast tutorial

  • hallo xcuse me where did you have this snare and bass??? search exactly this 2 !!

    thx for a answer

  • Very helpful, but very fast. Difficult to follow along

  • top quality bassline, really sounds like justice and mstrkrft

  • Thanks a lot this i really useful ! However, I have the impression that I do not get the sound you exactly are doing, my one sounds a lil bit different... I really like the first sound you do in the presentation of the video... Do you have a RNS file of it ? I actually try to redo that but the video and plugs go pretty fast...

    Thanks a lot !

  • don't worry about gettin the exact same sound, if YOU think it sounds good then its good, or keep turning knobs til it does
