Two days ago I walked outside on a windy day, my right ear had a loud POP! And it started to hurt, but I have taken tylenol, ear drops, but nothing seems to help. What happen happend? What can I do? Help PLEASE!!
She's an idiot. Antibiotics help the body heal infections by stimulating the immune system to consume the foreign bodies. It also teaches the body how to deal with the infection next time it tries to happen again. The only problem is that antibiotics select for infectious cells that are antibiotic resistant cells. She didn't mention that because she has no idea what she's talking about. She's just trying to sell her book to ignorant homemaker moms
@killazerg1 No you're an idiot, antibiotics are basically selective poisons that kill bacteria. They don't do anything other than what a poison does, the only difference is they are selective and don't necessarily harm the person taking them. There are some downsides though, as antibiotics will also kill "good" non-pathenogenic bacteria, which help your body function properly. Next time do some research before you go talking about something you don't know.
@killazerg1 Antibiotics don't do any selection, they just kill off any bacteria that are not resistant to the antibiotic. The result is the remaining bacteria that can survive with the antibiotics breed again and an new colony with the resistant gene forms. The resultant colony will not be affected by the original antibiotic, and if the disease continues; a new stronger antibiotic will have to be prescribed to treat the illness.
@aznboi1214 but a home remedy wont work. all things that have any antibiotic properties do the exact same thing you just said and only something with an antibiotic property will cure a bacterial infection. all of this home remedy stuff may sound good and dandy but when you actually experience a bad sinus infection or something i guarantee you will be asking the doctor for antibiotics
@threadysparrow I didn't say anything about home remedies in my comment did I? I just corrected another user about what antibiotics actually do, so he has a misconception of science, but you're even worse because you cant read. No where did I mention anything about whether or not this video is valid, I just stated facts about antibiotics. Plus your grammar is atrocious.
I do have a permanent hole in my ear due to too many tubes and tons of scarring and still after 30 years have constant ear infections. Antibiotics do nothing for me.

The only way I can describe what is happening to my ear is to say that it feels like athletes foot of the ear. Constant itching and irritation.
