The engine is not gone! Our Sisu with the same engine goes nice when its warm. But that engine goes on the start motor about 4-6 minutes until the motor can go for own machine. But it takes about 2-2,2 gallon motor oil at 62 miles. So this little baby is still in good condition!
Back in the 70's I worked for a company that had Scammells with Rolls Royce engines. They would start one cylinder at a time when it was cold. You could count them in. Ran great once they'd warmed up a bit. One did 90 MPH.
yes there are including myself because i'm dutch, and we got ''daf'' trucks, and until the mid eighties most daf trucks had non syncro gearboxes, so besides the the double dutch, we also do the double clutch. I could also shift without a clutch

I had to explain once to a driver how to drive an Eaton twin splitter. He wouldn't listen, so I let him get on with it. Playing tunes and crunching gears along the road. They say it will break you, before you can break it!

You ever heard of starting fluid (ether) flushing all oil out of cylinders? In this case it is all the same, 'cos the engine is as good as gone. Too many ether starts by rednecks.

füllerihan on se yksi, ainoa oikea aski raskaassa kalustossa joka pelaa 100% varmasti - synkrot sun muut paskat sais unohtaa tyystin. suoralla füllerilla pystyy vaihtamaan jyrkässä ylämäessäki pienempää jos tarvii...

@Rekku9 Ei se amerikan ilma enää niin kovaa ainetta ole kun ennnen ja kun antaa spray purkistakin koneen ite imeä eikä ruiskuta suoraan ilmansuodattimeen, ei käy kuinkaan, on kokeiltu yli 1 milj. km ajettuun Scanian 14 l V8, monet kerrat. Eikä se Scanian vinkkeli tunnetusti maailman vahvin kone ole alakerrastaan.

truck on the video has its power still, it is RR eagle diesel, 320hp. And I give a thumb up for the füller non-syncroed gearbox

I haven't driven one for over 10 years. All the trucks that the company I work for has, are Volvo and DAF automatics.

i dont like those, i want to be in control of my truck. we have a volvo so that is a bit hard considering they are so bad to drive.

At 2:10 the 6th cylinder lights up :) Uasge of starting fluid is stopped when the engine can run without it, with maybe 4 or 5 cyls

You ever heard of starting fluid (ether) flushing all oil out of cylinders? In this case it is all the same, 'cos the engine is as good as gone. Too many ether starts by rednecks.
