audiences laugh at awkward moments because they don't know how else to react... a moment could be extremely serious but because of the awkwardness of the situation audiences laugh. being in theatre you know this, or should learn that it happens... you do the same thing
The depiction of snoopy is not that way at all. This is how we think not how a dog thinks. A dog is pure of heart. Snoopy is pure of heart. Snoopy was a good dog because Charley brown was a good owner. This script is perpetuating the misconception of rabies too. lies to many to mention are supported by the pharmaceutical industry. You can definitely tell this is in Queens! I love that twang! And this audience is so rude, Woodstock's death is not something to laugh over. This play is not intentionally funny and this monologue is one of the few scenes where there should be no laughs.
They aren't laughing because they don't care about animals and they're happy that the bird died. They're laughing because they understand it. They've all seen the show and know what CB is referring to without him outwardly expressing what it really is.
I don't entirely disagree with you - but on the other hand it is dark comedy and often things that can be disturbing or upsetting can cause people, especially in a public setting, to laugh as a way of physically responding.
this play actually is intentionally funny, though maybe not this scene. and it's human nature to laugh and something that makes you uncomfortable as a coping/defense mechanism. they arent being rude, theyre being human. plus if you have a dark sense of humor, it is kind of comical.
Awesome Video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed check out this site called sl8t.(com) It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 channels up with videos at top in position, this is my forth channel I'm going to working on now.
Sorry for the parenthesis around the com, some reason Youtube will not let you give an actual address in a comment. Real weird. Have a Blessed day!
