Tales of Vesperia has an improved version of the Flex-Range Linear Motion Battle System used in Tales of the Abyss (PS2) and Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology (PSP). It's similar to Tales of Symphonia's Linear Motion Battle System, exept the characters are free to move in three demensions.

this game comes out in august 19th in america and im buying a 360 just for thisw game, i mean sure ill get other games like gta 4 and mass effect but its mostly for this game cuz Tales games are the best.

well i took vincentvega advice and made a japonese account and i played the demo it is a little dissapointing but it can be improved from their mistakes.. i hope but i hope this goes well because tales series are my favorite especially tales of abyss

hey, if you can't wait for the US demo release, just make a japanese hotmail account and create a new live id and you can download the demo, then, switch to your US live id and the demo will be completely in English.

Artes are special attacks you can link with regular attacks. Yuri, for example, some of his artes are Azure Edge and Dragon Sworm. Artes are important for combos and dealing more damage than just regular attacks.

artes attacks weren't extensively used in ToS it was more like a combo then a tech skill at the end I havent played many of the other tales games but i heard that they now string more of those tech like moves together now.

You can do multi-player, yes. I haven't tested it personally but you can. I don't think you can do it over Xbox Live but we'll have to wait and see, you're very limited in the demo. And I can't access the options, you're not allowed to in the demo.

Just need a little clarification.

For your Burst Arte, is it just a matter of:

Going OverLimit

then using Arcance arte while holding the right trigger?

I was playing earlier and was apparently doing it wrong as I wasn't able to pull off the attack.

Finally, someone who knows how to play a tales game. In the other demo videos I've seen so far the player just spams Soryuurengazan, does not guard at all, does not enter overlimits or use burst artes, and does not really show all of the techs.
