How viable do you think jungle Akali is without your specific runeset. Runes and rune pages are SO expensive, so I only have 2 pages, one of which being magic pen marks, armor seals, CDR glyphs and movement speed/health quints. Would this work?

@Cheesaurus This wouldn't work, because Akali is mostly a burst nuke. IE, she needs lots of AP, and some AD to match it, in order to really be of any use.

Her passives are triggered by having 20 AP for one and 10 AD for the other. It's usually best to have these triggered at lv1, but if not, then as early as you can possibly get them. I Build boots first, then Rylais, then Gunblade. Normally, I go with Lich, Malais, and Rabadons after these. It's completely up to you as to the last three.

I've also determined that starting with the Red Elixir and however many health pots (up to 6) works extremely well. It gives you your 10 attack damage, and the health needed to clear the jungle quickly. I also have some AP runes to proc the other passive. AD Runes just seem like a waste on Akali, even if it's to proc her passive.

@anhdienx3 I go with health runes usually, but there is no "best" rune for any champion. All that matters is what works for you.

I spent a day trying to jungle with akali, starting with an item that builds into gunblade and not taking smite. It's a little shaky for levels 1+2, but after that it's pretty fast. Only problem is that other champions gank better

I don't. Akali gets so much damage from building actual damage that there's not much point. If you need sustain Hextech Revolver is better for Akali, and if you need to kill jungle creeps quicker building actual damage is better. I'm removing the Madred's suggestion from the guide since it's really not a great option on Akali.

You can go 15/10/5 and to put a point in Archaic Knowledge without too much issue. There are a lot of other minor things you can do (e.g. swap points from Evasion for Resistance, or Perseverance for Good Hands), but you need to be careful about sacrificing too much survivability for late game benefits. I err on the side of extreme jungle proficiency rather than risk getting out jungled by skilled opponents.

@MontegomeryLoL why would it be a issue putting a point into the thing which gives you 15% magic pen when akali mostly do magic dmg? move the point in 2 more dmg vs minions (which isnt jungle creep) to archaic instead.

The tooltip on Offensive Mastery is incorrect. Even though it doesn't specifically mention "monsters", it counts on jungle creeps as well.

nice, i tried same rune setup with 21 0 9, it works fine, even though you have not so much HP at blue, but you have 15% increased buff duration which i find pretty useful for more ganking opportunities
