What is this all about? Does C.Ronaldo deserves so much attention? I DONT THINK SO!!! He's just an average player who had decent season in the Premierleague and his value grow up.
Unhappy player is somethng that no one likes. If Rnaldo likes to go he should be allowed to leave. With that mne AF can bring 2 or 3 new players which will make MU even better than it is now.
i think ronaldo is a coward and immature.utd have gave him more than he deserves and now because a bigger club wants him he leaves....pff come on cristiano
...this talk about players not being kept against their will?.... Roman Abramovich or any club owner which Robinho wanted to play for, should just pay Real Madrid $1 dollars as a token. And roll out the red carpet for the departure of Robinho.
This is why people hate Real Madrid. An arrogant club with arrogant fans and dogs. I hope ManU sell Ronaldo if Real Madrid approach ManU and make an offer in a normal way. But this kind of public comment can only encourage ManU to refuse to sell. Even if Ronaldo does want to leave, ManU should just keep or bench him.
as much as i hate madrid and this president i have to admit that he is right United can make history and they can buy great players with that money soo United let go of C.ronaldo U will be better of without him
haha United is already making history by itself. Madrid dont worry you will go down in the history books too.. as fools who overlooked their own stupidity.
So, where does Sergio get the idea Real Madrid is so big and Manchester United so small. Madrid have won nothing for years whilst English Football and United have taken everything in Europe and also make good profits on top. Waku up you poor deluded chap, just because you get a bit more sunshine than the UK does not make it heaven, particularly with the corruption in Spain.
real mighty club? winning champions league nowadays is much tougher than 20, 40, 50 yrs ago. when real madrid won 5 in a row it was a time when people didn't see it as important as it is today. so if you count it again after the reformat of champions league real madrid won only 4. bigger and better? nah. it just happen that real madrid wear those all white "classy" jersey and put on a big stage for every big player they signed.
small club like Man Utd? A legendary club like Madrid? Are you asking why Ronaldo should leave the current European champions to join European under achievers? Surely that is no honor, more like a backwards step and demotion? What is the honor in leaving a successful club to join a less successful club?
i don't think manchester need to sell players for the sake of making history. anyway ronaldo still have to go bcos it's too late to make a u-turn. the damage has been done.
hey ppls...i am manutd fan...real madride is only history...history...history....1.Milan...2.manchester...3.Juventus..4.Barca....then bayern,real..and those teams
if ronaldo go to madrid he wil never do what he did in united because united is very stronger and they have SIR ALEX!! hes the best coach in the world.. madrid only history lets see what they can do these years.. they are nothing..
I noticed Calderon backed out of meeting David Gill today and sent one of his underlings instead. If Ronaldo has told Calderon he wants to leave, why has he not told his current employers yet? Every time Calderon opens his mouth, he is humiliating a once great club.
Calderon is arrogant, he says all the best players want to play for Madrid, can't remember Pele or Maradona playing for them or Messi/Kaka ....I'm not a Man U fan but they seem to be Madrids equal in both finances and world wide fan base, so Calderon stop all this 'we are the biggest and best' stuff and ask Man U nicely if they want to sell, if they say no then forget it, I'm sure Ronaldo will get over it, especially on £120k a week!
ery arrogant comment by an old man. this is not a way to convince someone to do a business with you. i started to hate real madrid since this old man start talking.
Manchester is historically n presently rocking the EPL n knocking some weak teams off their nooks. Roma beat Real M....another weak team so ridiculous n exploitative paying a whole married Robinho €30,000 per weak....check me before I get red. Ok. Then Man utd beat Roma home, away, home and draw...oh shoot! History has it. Real Madrid is a really mad club...the plan's get profit by selling Ron after He's crowned world player of the year.
he's just not stupid but very arrogant also... he thinks every great player should play for them but they forgot that 3 best player in the world didn't play for them... best, pele, maradona.
"Ramón Calderón believes that Manchester United should not pass up the chance to be involved in an historic transfer and should agree to talks about Cristiano Ronaldo".
It's a pity because I was driving so strongly that we could have made the podium. Nevertheless after yesterday's qualifying, two points is not bad. We've scored at the last three races and we have a good chance to keep up the momentum. Now we must keep pushing to develop the car and then we have to take our chances at each race.
At that point the track was really bad, I was aquaplaning everywhere and losing 15 seconds a lap. We should have gambled on switching to the extreme wet tyre but unfortunately when it came to take the decision we knew it wasn't going to rain any more. It was just a question of making a difficult decision in difficult track conditions but in hindsight we should have gone for it.
"It was a good race and it's good to take two points but I hoped for more. Throughout the race I was very strong and I'd made it up to third place when the heavy rain came."
"I had said that when it rains, anything can happen, which was the case today as we had a difficult race with a very wet circuit. I used up my tyres very quickly and I finished the race virtually with slicks, which meant I lost a lot of time in certain parts of the track. We could have probably had a better result today, but in the end I scored three points, which is important for the championship."
I always thought that diminished his achievements. If he were to come back to rectify that, and pair up with Raikkonen at Ferrari or Hamilton at McLaren, that would be fantastic.
It's hard to avoid the impression that he quit when he did because he didn't want a top-line driver (Kimi Raikkonen) in the same team as him - something he never had from 1994 onwards.
Now a year and a half ago since his retirement , thought it would be interesting to know who thinks the man , the F1 genius to many , but also the "villain" to maybe even more , is or is not missed and their reasons why.
Maybe its not the best way to handle it but in all sports you have to have a short memory about these things good or bad. the world could see he made a mistake He gave an apology to Raikkonen He got a penalty and he probably would like to foget the whole thing i know i would be embarrassed
It's very curious isn't it? He gave Raikkonen an apology but that's been it - whenever he's been directly asked about it he's refused to characterise it as a mistake. Perhaps he thinks he's not letting the opposition have the satisfaction of seeing him with his head down. Perhaps he's just doing it to wind people up. I just don't know!
Ok, I have never stole anything from a race track, but when I was young I used to ride my bike across town to where the Simtek F1 team was based and take home random wishbones and random pieces of carbon fiber from their skip outside the factory.
The first Grand Prix I ever saw was the 1989 Silverstone race. It's not remembered as a classic, but it was a decent race: Ayrton Senna led untl spinning off with a gearbox problem. Alain Prost took over the lead but Nigel Mansell was chasing him down until his Ferrari suffered a high-speed puncture on the Hangar straight.
Never been, but I remember 1998 in the rain being a good one, aside from the controversy at the end. I'd say that was difficult one to watch from the stands!
Does any one know what kind of money the F1 teams are getting in 2008 in the form of prizes ? for race wins etc...? or estimated prize funds for each race ? i've had a search about and can't find any info on this subject.
Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa are in a three-way tie for the lead of the drivers' championship on 48 points, with Robert Kubica just two more behind.
"Congratulations to Lewis on his superb home win. I had a good start and, for a few laps, Lewis was really pushing hard - which meant he eventually managed to overtake me on lap five when I ran a little wide. It was an extremely difficult race with lots of things happening.
It was so easy to get caught out today by aquaplaning and slippery conditions: I spun twice but I was not the only one. At least I scored four points and helped to increase our constructors' points total."
After fitting the extreme wets, I was able to overtake the cars in front easily which was a great feeling. Making such a crucial decision at a key time comes from experience and from the team having the confidence in me to make the call. I would like to say a big thank you to the team today - to everyone back at the factory and also in Japan.
"It's a great feeling to be back on the podium today after such an exciting race where the weather conditions really helped us to get the best out of the car. The most important decision of the race for us was switching to the extreme wet tyre when the heavy rain started to fall at half distance. I had a real moment at Club, going off at high speed and almost hitting the wall, and that made me realise that we needed to make a quick decision.
At the first stop we were wondering if we should stay with the used set of inters, but luckily we then decided on new tyres. We were expecting a small shower, but when I drove down Hanger Straight and saw a black wall in front of me I thought I should expect more than that! The most difficult moments in the race were when cars were overtaking me who had been lapped, but were just on better tyres for the conditions at that time. There was so much water and I couldn't see where it was lying.
"It was a good race. I am happy with second place because today it was the best I could achieve. Qualifying went well and in the race we did everything right. Obviously it was crucial to make the right tyre decisions.
McLaren's Lewis Hamilton on making amends for recent errors with a win at his home Grand Prix; Felipe Massa on his race to forget for Ferrari; and BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica on ending up in the gravel trap. The drivers report back on all the action at Silverstone...
They are occupated of keeping C.Ronaldo in their squad. By the way, they dont need a new players. Manchester has excellent team and all they need at the moment is one top class striker.
Lagos Nasri shuld be in top ten so far he has bn signed by arsenal. Be expecting more players like, Veloso, Bischof, Martings, Cruis in Arsenal next serason.
Christiano Ronaldo should be given a green light to play for Madrid besides Man United is much bigger a club than Ronaldo. When player like David Bekham, Ruud Vanistroy, Jaap Stam or even Jaun Sabastian Veron left, we thought the club was gone but it even got better. Ronaldo will go and Man United will stay.
money is not every thing.players are nt robots dat u can control or program with any particular device, say remote.dey shld be allowed to go to clubs dere hearth belong to enhance dere performance.
i think Arsenal should buy obafemi martins for $13millon buying clause and sell adebayor to any team that want his service.......lake of consistence of adebayor make arsenal a tyophyless season.......gooners for life
Adebayo thinks money is everything, why is he comparing himself with Henry,he should play what Henry is playing then he would also be paid like him.Does he think it is easy to get the second world best player twice,na plantain.
If Daniel Alves is the best attacking full-back in the world then what does that make Ugur Boral? Ugur Boral absolutely ripped him in both the games (Fener vs Sevilla) this season.
Am a manchester united supporter and so according to my view i think christiano ronaldo should stay at old trafford cuz he has inspired the club during the champion's and premiership campaign. He is a good attacker and can put the team on pressure cuz he has the speed and all the skills
Ronaldo may leave ManU but i'd advise him not to try Madrid cos it'll only be a wrong move. What's all the hype about an Adebayor move. he virtually gave out Arsenal's League last season. Pity! Arsenal fans don't want to lose him probably because they just lost Flamini and Hleb is threatening to go.
One thing is missing on the list, and is ofcourse by fare before Flamini, ZAMBROTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, cammon we are speaking about the best wing back in the world.

The first Grand Prix I ever saw was the 1989 Silverstone race. It's not remembered as a classic, but it was a decent race: Ayrton Senna led untl spinning off with a gearbox problem. Alain Prost took over the lead but Nigel Mansell was chasing him down until his Ferrari suffered a high-speed puncture on the Hangar straight.
duxert 3 years ago
Never been, but I remember 1998 in the rain being a good one, aside from the controversy at the end. I'd say that was difficult one to watch from the stands!

Does any one know what kind of money the F1 teams are getting in 2008 in the form of prizes ? for race wins etc...? or estimated prize funds for each race ? i've had a search about and can't find any info on this subject.

Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa are in a three-way tie for the lead of the drivers' championship on 48 points, with Robert Kubica just two more behind.

Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren (5th):
"Congratulations to Lewis on his superb home win. I had a good start and, for a few laps, Lewis was really pushing hard - which meant he eventually managed to overtake me on lap five when I ran a little wide. It was an extremely difficult race with lots of things happening.
bitch1peach 3 years ago
It was so easy to get caught out today by aquaplaning and slippery conditions: I spun twice but I was not the only one. At least I scored four points and helped to increase our constructors' points total."

GO GO GO McLaren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck all those who wants to stop u!!!
We areeee THE BEST!!!

After fitting the extreme wets, I was able to overtake the cars in front easily which was a great feeling. Making such a crucial decision at a key time comes from experience and from the team having the confidence in me to make the call. I would like to say a big thank you to the team today - to everyone back at the factory and also in Japan.

Rubens Barrichello, Honda (3rd):
"It's a great feeling to be back on the podium today after such an exciting race where the weather conditions really helped us to get the best out of the car. The most important decision of the race for us was switching to the extreme wet tyre when the heavy rain started to fall at half distance. I had a real moment at Club, going off at high speed and almost hitting the wall, and that made me realise that we needed to make a quick decision.
bokalot 3 years ago
At the first stop we were wondering if we should stay with the used set of inters, but luckily we then decided on new tyres. We were expecting a small shower, but when I drove down Hanger Straight and saw a black wall in front of me I thought I should expect more than that! The most difficult moments in the race were when cars were overtaking me who had been lapped, but were just on better tyres for the conditions at that time. There was so much water and I couldn't see where it was lying.
johns85001 3 years ago
Nick Heidfeld, BMW Sauber says:
"It was a good race. I am happy with second place because today it was the best I could achieve. Qualifying went well and in the race we did everything right. Obviously it was crucial to make the right tyre decisions.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton on making amends for recent errors with a win at his home Grand Prix; Felipe Massa on his race to forget for Ferrari; and BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica on ending up in the gravel trap. The drivers report back on all the action at Silverstone...

The Arsenal fans didnt care too much about Flamini's money-grabbing when he signed for them though...

Clearly you have no idea because when Flamini arrived he was earning grass and weeds. Nothing much at all....

They are occupated of keeping C.Ronaldo in their squad. By the way, they dont need a new players. Manchester has excellent team and all they need at the moment is one top class striker.

if a player wants to move, the club should let the player go cause i believe where the money is lays the heart.
monnny44 3 years ago
Lagos Nasri shuld be in top ten so far he has bn signed by arsenal. Be expecting more players like, Veloso, Bischof, Martings, Cruis in Arsenal next serason.
annnna66 3 years ago
In my opinion Dani Alvez must be in position 1 cause he is the best player of all in the list.
mummmymi 3 years ago
Christiano Ronaldo should be given a green light to play for Madrid besides Man United is much bigger a club than Ronaldo. When player like David Bekham, Ruud Vanistroy, Jaap Stam or even Jaun Sabastian Veron left, we thought the club was gone but it even got better. Ronaldo will go and Man United will stay.

Chelsea signing Deco is a well come development and i think next season will also be greater than last one especially if they sign Ronaldinho
darklouds 3 years ago
Adebayo thinks money is everything, why is he comparing himself with Henry,he should play what Henry is playing then he would also be paid like him.Does he think it is easy to get the second world best player twice,na plantain.

why cant arsernal sign david villa he is a great player, for barce's new signings they are superb..........no thought i love barce
Ian45678 3 years ago
Gillardino was a great signing for Fiorentina. He will shine in a lowe pressure environment.
kaizerser 3 years ago
If Daniel Alves is the best attacking full-back in the world then what does that make Ugur Boral? Ugur Boral absolutely ripped him in both the games (Fener vs Sevilla) this season.
bodysnatcher2 3 years ago
Adebayo should be on his own, that is what he want as a footballer and any player can ask what ever he, that what he want so live him alone
globalprick 3 years ago
Am a manchester united supporter and so according to my view i think christiano ronaldo should stay at old trafford cuz he has inspired the club during the champion's and premiership campaign. He is a good attacker and can put the team on pressure cuz he has the speed and all the skills
rastagirl696 3 years ago
Adebayor is a greedy man that was why he is confeuse to choose the club that is best for hem.

ronaldo should go to madrid because they the best team that are met for great players like him
catwebcam 3 years ago
Ronaldo may leave ManU but i'd advise him not to try Madrid cos it'll only be a wrong move. What's all the hype about an Adebayor move. he virtually gave out Arsenal's League last season. Pity! Arsenal fans don't want to lose him probably because they just lost Flamini and Hleb is threatening to go.
duxert 3 years ago
Ronaldo's still the world best. at least for now.
