I love the way that the two different couples sing this song. Chick (Oakie) and the "female peroxide bottle" are just flirting, but Pete (Haley) and Dorothy (Rogers) really mean it. I also love how flustered Pete gets whenever Dorothy looks at him when she sings the line, "you're such a comfort to me." =)

Jack Haley was a songwriter before he broke into vaudeville with a comedy team he formed with Benny Rubin...he was a very talented guy who could sing and dance circles around alot of the hollywood elite of his day...he never really got the big break he deserved...but at least he is remembered today...due to his part in Oz.
