It's so difficult to say "goodbye", but knowing Rick Wright played a long career with the band and shared his talents with the world is assuring. We'll meet again someday. I was blessed to see a few shows---Sapporo, Japan----Ft. Worth, Texas----Los Angeles, CA.......Say Hi to Syd for me, Rick.
@5dave1 You are a lucky person for having the pleasure of seeing him in LA. My dad made a mistake and backed out of the On An Island tour in 2006 because retarded ITunes didn't have good samples. Now after seeing that On An Island is wonderful (I discovered Gilmour and bought the album) and hearing that they did Echoes live he can't forgive himself. With Rick's death we are crossing our fingers for at least one more show in LA
Thank you for your comments, I think when most Floyd fans ponder on this they will also realise that it was Ricks keyboards that first got their ear. But it was a "group" they all complimented each others work, long live the remaining members Dave and Nick we love you guys just as much, keep your music going it cannot be Pink Floyd but hey it's still the best damn music ever...............
Rick was the real backbone to Floyd's sound. As a guitarist and Gilmour fan he is the most celebrated musically part of the band; however, it was those swirling synths and hammond organ that were at the centre of Pink floyd's sonic soundscape. RIP Rick.
I cant believe your gone i never saw you play in person but your music has touched me in ways i cant explain and you will be deeply and truly missed RIP Rick Wright

Very well done.
It was Richards piano "ping" that first introduced me to the band.
Thanks.

I totally agree I love all the band but it was Rick's magic that first got me following the band as a fan.
