Miralles decided that this building should resemble a log jam of boats. Every architectural and engineering practicality (function) is made subservient to this decorative whim (form). The decorative motifs are ancient, hackneyed, antiquities of the "modern" movement. This foul building is manifestly not fit for purpose according to the scribes who toil within its vulgar seventies car park exterior. Discovering this building on the Royal Mile is like finding a used tampon in your lunch box.
