hey i would take a car without getting it tuned just for the hell of it... then take it back after i did get a tune and shock people :D i have a 89 cougar xr7 and it has the 3.8 sc in it... these cars are beast and alot of people dont realize it

Come on now, there's absolutely no point in making changes if you don't tune the car to work with them. I have no sympathy for you taking your car to the track un-tuned and then making excuses for it running like crap. Get it tuned THEN take it to the track.
First all the car is in need of a tuned, last time that it was tuned by Dave Dalke five years ago when I added 38lbs injectors,75 ml throttle body, 73 ml C&L maf and a Magunson S Port. Now have the 520 DR fred Cam, Ported headeds with stock size 5 angle valves and 1.73 rollers and some other goodies. The car ran the same time when it had just stock block and heads. Needs a tuned( running way to rich) and bigger intercooler from falling on it's face.

yea the bad tune explains alot. its definatley bogging out half way down the track u should post one with the new tune
