If I ever had the cash or would be lucky to get picked I would so take the chance. :) heck if I was on that ship and in space I would have to say this.
I'm Commander Shepard and this is my ship! (not quiet the Normandy but hey) lol
Just bought the book 'Reach for the skies' by Richard and read it from cover to cover the same day. As inspirational as it is incredible. The whole space quest is just a great attitude to life. Well done Richard and all at Virgin.
Another "Frontier " for the elite ! What good is something only a few can afford.Trips into orbit will be for a select few as it is now or untill they build prisons in orbit then the regular guy will get to go into space.
@19thSFGA Stop bashing on the industry, we can't afford that, so what? In the begining of Airtravel it cost extremely much, so much that only the "elite" could afford it. Then the price drops when the market gets sustained. The same will happen here. It will be expensive, it costed millions of dollars ust to make it happen... Then when more and more people get to fly on the SS2 the prices will drop, ust like airtravel did.
How many government goons will have a talk with Richard B. about what people are seeing up there in orbit. I mean....after all....they have spent over 50 years, and funneled billions and billions to keep the truth of outer space beings and their craft.....a secret. I say god speed to Richard on this. I hope this will bring closure to the truth....we are not alone.
Despite how excited I've been to see something like this develop, I'm almost offended every time I hear, "We're making space travel accessible to everybody." Everybody who has $200,000 just sitting around! "What am I waiting for"? I'm waiting for the price to go down to reasonable level. That or I'll wait until Armadillo or Starchaser or someone else makes a cheaper system.
Virgin Galactic culture is very similar to that in the Disney movie "Zenon the Zequel". Perhaps for the first time Disney made a science fiction movie that actually predicts the future!?!
wow that's a great tat on that grls back.. really meaningful too.. the first commercial space flight and u were a part of it. great way to remember it
Ah, perhaps one day; in the mean time, however, it will be fun watching how the first group of Hollywood elites react when some fuse burns out and they find themselves in a flaming pepsi can plummeting toward earth at 20,000 mph. Are martinis flamable?
@RandallParr Amazing that these people want to be the first Guinea Pigs, considering that they are afraid of getting their hands dirty and live lives of previlaged isolation.

give it about 10-15 years for it to become 'affordable'.
50k to go into space would be a relative bargain.
moondy11 1 year ago
@moondy11 They plan to eventually lower the price to 20k
LesPaul2006 1 year ago
@moondy11 Its not really space, its SUB ORBITAL FLIGHT, and weightlessness is experienced for a very brief period.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we enjoy to fly to the space?
(3) Why do we want to design and to build new spacecrafts?
(4) Why do we thnk that space travel and space technology represents self-actualization (human's full-potential)?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
P.S. For this achievement, it must require lots of "working together".
