One of my favourite bits of the ECML, Newcastle to Darlington. Especially liked the filming at Central (Newcastle) and Bank Top (Darlington). Your film also showed that the drew let 45305 have its head on the ECML.
@bkendlerA4 Thanks for your comments Barry. The Central and Bank Top are amazing pieces of arcitecture. All the better with steam below thier roofs. Regards, Jeff.
A lot of footage shot from trains can be quite noisy and repetitive and not really tell you anything but I liked this. I think you missed a trick not shooting when you crossed Durham viaduct though- or did everyone else have that idea?
I wonder why this loco' ran round at Stanhope when the same excursion last year had a class 47 on the back to handle the return to Darlington. Are 8Fs harder to drive in reverse?
@TimRuffle Many thanks for your comments. There were many other things i wanted to shoot including from Durham Viaduct but if i did everything, including the old shed sites at Darlington, my video may have just become a bit too long. I have wondered about the run round of the loco as opposed to last year and i dont really know why. Glad you liked the video, Regards, Jeff.
A really enjoyable video Jeff. Well filmed, and great clarity of picture throughout. Nice to see Stockton in there. That was of course, where I tried to film Tornado and was told she was running late only for her to appear running almost silently through the station about 10 - 15 minutes later.
@LMSStanier Thanks for your comments. It was a superb railtour with glorious weather for October. I think Stockton, like lots of stations, has seen better days. Cheers, Jeff.
@robmasterman Hi Bob, thanks for your comments. Could not believe the fantastic weather for October! Your right those roofs at Newctle and Darlington are quite stunning. Regards, Jeff.
An excellent video of the Weardal Railtour Jeff, and a nice reminder of the places that served the railways so well in the past and are no longer around.
Nice filming Jeff,

@BritishTrainVideos Thanks for your comments. Agreed about the trespassing. Throughout the tour there were people too close to the line.
