  • Put youre microscope on this from this track:

    - All them fools whose soul's 4 sale, Sitting next to the Jezebel.

    - Time has come for most of us, 2 choose in which God we trust.

    - Demons screaming in my ear, All my anger all my fear, If I holler let them hear,

    In this spinning sphere

This track goes fare more deeper then the bassline and rhytm.

    Just connect the dots.

  • a genius but many saw only the abdominal muscles and that killed him in a way. not many saw that he had the potential to be a legend like prince etc..

  • Are you kidding me/

  • thatz the nature of the game... your ideaz may not work in production for a spacific work, and someone else will take the leftovers and make a gourmet dish from it!!!

    RESPECT..

  • i never heard this one in a club but it would be damn sexy..a shame that many people loose vibe dancing to tracks under 92 bpm..everything under 90 bpm is where i get started

  • @hightouchsoul Cheers.

  • @Maradonarules10 I don't like stupid questions. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't comment, simple. The fact that you don't understand my comment just goes to show how much you know about D'Angelo's musical history - Nothing. Just do what everyone else does - zip your mouth shut and listen to the music.

  • @vyxtouch

I cannot believe he passed on this for "Niggonometry", that beat wyclef did for that song sucks compared to these premo drums. Can-I-Bus would've been perfect if this beat was part of it.

  • @vyxtouch more like, the Internet Canibus Army; have you ever noticed that whenever someone has something bad to say about Canibus on the internet a bunch of angry dorks (probably JMT fans) jump out of nowhere to defend him? They must be sharing links on Save Canibus forum or some shit wahaha

  • @vyxtouch ahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • Bag up music

  • Time to move some weight... am i right????

  • enough about canibus and premo, LETS GET BACK TO WHAT THIS SONG IS REALLY ABOUT- KEEPIN IT FUCKIN REAL AND NOT LETTIN THAT DEVIL INVADE YOUR TRUTH AND REALNESS. CAUSE ALL US HERE CAUSE WE TOOK THAT SLICE OF DEVILS PIE AND THREW IT IN A FUCKIN POLITICAINS FACE!

  • Amazing beat. That is all.

  • Man, he and Lauryn needa do more music together...all time best.

  • I heard Meth at the beginning

  • I think it's clear that Niggonometry would have sounded worse with this beat. They just wouldn't mesh very well together. That being said D'Angelo style fits much better with a beat like this.

  • gotta agree with you on that b.............he did fall off

  • watch us all staying alive for a "slice" of the devil's pie . . . omg . . .

  • @digitalpapa55 mmm pie.

  • @digitalpapa55 you right

  • Let's face it, if Canibus DID use the beat, it would have just been another shit Canibus track. I'm glad he made a bad business move!

  • These lyrics are some of the deepest lyrics ever written. It's pure confession, and it's dirty. Fuck the slice, we want the pie

  • This song is about life you can relate to anybody's life.

  • I use to listen to this song hella when i watched belly i checked the tracklist years later i was surprise d'angelo made it definitely his best song

  • Premo Premo Premo...........wow this takes me back man, CLASSIC!!!

  • Whoever beaks on YouTube bout stupid shit like this and cloggs comments wit gay shit

    @Takethestrapandbangyourself

  • 3 or 4 at a time!!!!

  • i'm glad that stupid motherfucker canibus didn't take this beat, he wasn't a good rapper at all. he was a shitty gimmick rapper who never made it big because, wait for it, he was the shittiest fucking rapper of all time. now he is probably eating out of trash cans and giving hand jobs for stamp bags of smack behind the unemployment office. this is one of the best r&b songs of all time.

  • @murphyhurtme go kill yourself.....

  • @murphyhurtme or maybe he just released an album with Keith Murray? fool

  • @DCtheDemonChild there is a reason canibus never got a lot of recognition, it was because he was a horrible rapper with a shitty flow and horrible lyrics.

  • @murphyhurtme just sayin he's doing fine... fool

  • @DCtheDemonChild yeah, he probably is working at wendys and trying to dodge child support payments

  • @murphyhurtme LOL PROBABLY HAHAHAHAHAHA u funnyz

  • @murphyhurtme really shitty flow and horrible lyrics...dnt think so he just had wack beats you ignoranus...punk bitch just because he doesnt talk about rings and diamonds

  • anyone know what the last couple lines of the song was talking about?

with eighty five dumb and blind

    there can be no compromise

  • The Moral of this story is?

Never turn down a beat made by Premier, he has never in his life made a bad one, at least i have yet to hear a Premier beat i didn't like

  • Belly wouldnt have been as gully without this song lol

  • I love this song & I love Belly!!!

  • Bringeth death

  • The comments on here have me dyin' of laughter...

  • dope!

  • J Dilla!!

  • LOOOOOL, how do you turn this beat down? This is why Canibus was never a commercial success - his beat selection fucking sucks

  • @leave12 canibus turned it down cuz primo was late to every session and wasnt professional with him, so he turned it down!

  • @WestSideRunna213 Yeah, of course he did lol. He turned down an amazing beat because Premo was late to the sessions.

WHAT A BUSINESSMAN! hahahahahahahaha that's even fucking worse lol

Cutting off your nose to spite your face like the stupid cunt he is.

  • @leave12 hows that worse? can u imagine nigganometry over this beat? canibus made a good decision business wise and chose the write beat! do u like being disrespected? if it was me, i woulda told primo to fuck off and never work with him again! canibus worked with him twice after this. hear golden tera of rap.

  • LOL @ you not understanding the story. Premo FINISHED the beat. He OFFERED it to Canibus, and Canibus said it wasn't good enough. Premo then gave Canibus the cheque back, and gave the beat to D'Angelo, who made it into a smash hit.

Canibus made a fucked up business move because of his massive ego and it backfired. Kind of like his whole career up until this point.

  • @leave12 no, it's not that canibus said it wasnt good enough. canibus felt that primo was being completely unprofessional, coming 2-5 hrs late every studio session. you working on a project with someone, and they not putting in the same work you are, that shit just aint fair, is it. you dont wanna work with people like that, at least not professionally

  • @dhtjlghks When you're anobody in the industry, and one of the greatest producers of all time is making you a beat, you'll wait all fucking year if you have to. That's how any industry works when you're at the bottom. You don't go in at the top, commanding people's time.

Also, Premo made it quite clear, as he quoted Canibus as saying "I don't feel like you understand what my direction is" regarding the beat. He wasn't happy with it, so Premo gave him the cheque back and bounced.

  • @leave12 a nobody? that, plus your inaccurate story up there, show how much you really know.

Canibus was one of the up and coming stars that everyone wanted to rhyme with, and at the same time, nobody wanted to rhyme with, because he ate up everybody. he was hyped up so much, how else you think his first album sold?

it wasnt clear if canibus was talking bout the beat when he said "i dont think you understand what my VISION is." maybe thats the way preem took it.

check went to universal, not bis

  • @dhtjlghks Thanks for telling me what I do and don't know, lol. Canibus was a nobody in the beginning. He was hot because he was new and raw, but he was completely unproven as an artist, hence nobody owed him any favours, and he wasn't in a position to start getting shitty about another man's business practices when he hasn't even proved himself. And it's "inaccurate" because it comes from premo and doesn't support your point of view lol. Many talk of how delusional Canibus is.

  • @dhtjlghks oh, haha, as if the difference between "direction" and "vision" somehow changes everything. Jesus Christ, just admit you're a Canibus Stan and move on. If he was hot, he'd be hot, but he's not, so he isn't. People get bored with complex but completely non-sensical rhymes after a while, it's why literally NOBODY is checking for him. Even Royce can't be bothered to respond.

  • @leave12 i only pointed out that it was vision, not direction, i didnt make any deal out of it.

lol.. nobody checking for him somehow gets him the largest number of features on his records ever...

and we both know that it was royce who started that shit. and royce has no fans.

maybe youd realize that his lines arent nonsensical (one word) if you actually read a book. delve deep into something more than simple gangsterisms. he rhymes subjects from phi to anthropology

  • @dhtjlghks No, his rhymes REFERENCE subjects, he doesn't speak about any of them in depth. Just like Nas, his lyrics SOUND intelligent, then when you hear him speak, you realise he's just another stuttering "na'mean" dumbass with a terrible vocabulary who only sounds smart when he's given the time to. EXACTLY the crux of LL's main point against him in their battle.

  • NINE YEARS OLD lol

  • @leave12 Also, don't think I haven't noticed the hilarious fact that you're telling me I don't know about the beginning, when you were only fucking NINE when Canibus was hot lol

I love kiddies thinking they know shit about Hip Hop, you weren't even old enough to comprehend the importance of the 90's for Hip Hop.

    NINE YEARS OLD

  • @leave12 that age is fake. im even younger.

im well aware of the importance of golden era hip hop. go tell an artist he doesnt realize the importance of the renaissance because he wasnt alive then, douchebag.

it makes it even worse for you that im much younger than you, but im much more aware. he references to make statements.

really.. someone who neither can tell the difference in the denotation between vision and direction nor knew that nonsensical was 1 word says canibus has a terrible vocab.

  • @dhtjlghks LOL you're even younger? You've got no authority on this topic whatsoever.

I knew that nonsensical was one word, however, when I type, I sometimes do so without putting proper thought it, and sometimes, with compound adjectives, I erroneously hyphenate. But then, I am English, so we get artistic license with language, since we invented it.

  • @leave12 we didnt invent language. nice going. instead of questioning my grasp on hip hop's history, maybe you should go back to school and take some classes.

capitalization is more mechanics than grammar, nitwit. by the way, do you live in europe? cheque instead of check, capitalisation instead of capitalization? in that case, the one who has no say whatsoever is not me, but you.

i never even mentioned grammar. i was only talking about vocabulary, and how youre being hypocritical.

  • @dhtjlghks It's 'you're'.

If you try really hard, I mean REALLY engage your brain, you might be able to figure out where I reside by studying my last post where I say "I'm English". A further corollary would be the claim that "we", meaning my collective nation, "invented it", as in the ENGLISH language.

Have you got it yet, or are you stuck deciphering a meaningless Canibus historical reference or quote from a book he's never read in its entirety?

    lol

  • @leave12 you said language with no article, meaning language in general - something the english didnt invent. it's not my misinterpretation, it's just you.

well, you dont have to live in the UK to be english. not only that, your profile says you live in the US. again, blame yourself for that.

lastly, where youre from matters more than what age you are. hip hop is dead in the uk.

it's only you who doesnt get it. instead of pushing the issue, you should really just back yourself with some evidence

  • @dhtjlghks LOL, look at you flailing for a response. You aren't able to interpret a singular noun without a definitive article to set it? No wonder you think Canibus is a genius.

Hip Hop is dead in the UK? UK's Hip Hop-as in an urban street form of which one aspect is music-is Grime, and it's alive and well, my Canibus stanning but-was-still-in-diapers-when-he-was-relevant, no-argument-having, quick-better-attack-grammar-so-he-doesn't-notice, friend...

  • @leave12 maybe thats how it works in your country, but not here.

really.. you call grime hip hop? if i had to put it in a category, i'd put it in the toilet

i never pointed out anything about your grammar until you spoke about it first. and the one with no argument, no credibility, is you, my primo-dickriding, lying, typing-some-sort-of-error-in-every-post, got-his-history-fucked-up, sad-excuse-for-a-hiphop-fan-who-thinks-grime-is-good, friend. cant even name one mc with better vocab, can you?

  • @dhtjlghks Grime sucks, I never said it was decent, I said it was alive and well, but comprehension has been an issue for you throughout this exchange. Gotta love a guy who comments on errors in a post but seems incapable of using capitalisation, incapable of using apostrophes, and begins sentences with conjunctions--lol

Also, "dickriding" should be hyphenated, hahahahahahaha.

And yes, Grime is Hip Hop, since Hip Hop is a term given to an urban art form. Grime is the UK's urban art form.

  • @leave12 if grime sucked, thered be no reason to mention it. that shit is not hip hop. i said hip hop was dead in your country, i dont give a flying fuck how grime's doing.

i comment on the big stuff-like incorrect spelling, and more importantly, inaccurate retelling of stories.

dickriding is hyphenated? since when? well, i'll give it to you, since you're the reason why the word was created.

urban art form? you know who else does urban art? naked cowboy. is he hip hop? didnt think so

  • @leave12 nice going, moving the topic off canibus. since you obviously cant find mc with a better vocabulary, why dont you just admit that he doesnt have a terrible vocabulary? notice i only ask that you renounce your statement that he has a "terrible vocabulary" - nothing else. not even say he has a good vocabulary, or say that he was justified in rejecting primo's beat.

  • @dhtjlghks Holy shit! Are you still going on about Canibus?? hahahahahahah

He's got a terrible vocab. just like 90% of Hip Hop MC's. You know that his vocabulary and his writing and lyrical ability are separate, right? Or is this another comprehension issue you're having?

  • @leave12 i am well aware that lyricism and vocabulary do not equate, thank you very much.

please, tell me who the 10% are? english mcs, i suppose... pompous bastard.

  • @dhtjlghks Well, I have to check, you aren't the ripest banana in the bunch lol

Why do the other half have to be English? It's probably closer to 99% of MC's have the same vocabulary as Canibus, actually.

LOL @ the irony of your first sentence and you calling someone else pompous.

Now reply again, I know you're desperate to get the last word in lol

  • @leave12 you are a hater pure

  • @dhtjlghks He doesn't reference to make statements, that's what people think when they don't really understand what they're listening to. You hear references that you have a less-than-rudimentary knowledge of, and, as a result, think that makes him smart. The fact that you consider Canibus to be an intellectual suggests that it's YOU that needs to read some books.

Also, as far as grammar goes, you might want to look into capitalisation if you are going to make it an issue, Shakespeare.

  • @leave12 dude no one is saying canibus is an intellectual. He is just god at making scientific rhymes thats all why do you have so much hate for facts

  • @pagola what is a scientific rhyme?

  • @leave12 dude bis made a bad business move but does that mean he is wack and was a nobody. He used to go hard and you knjow it. This is not english class to come here and start farting around with your stupid english degrees this is hip hop where battling is what used to prove an artist. I agree he throws words around all the time but he was ill

  • @pagola Canibus doesn't battle though, so what's your point? He's never spat off the top in his life. Canibus had some ill verses, his stuff 1999-2002 was sick. But he never evolved, he actually got worse. The Canibus from 4,3,2,1 is dead. Same flow in every single song, same unimportant subject matter.

  • @leave12 well put

  • @leave12 im a big Canibus fan but your right

  • @leave12 shut up and eat a nut

  • @immytown LOL, another person who was 8 when Canibus turned this beat down. go home, kid, you don't have the knowledge to debate this topic, you were barely out of diapers when this was released.

  • @leave12 Canibus' whole career was a fucked up business move - from teaming with Wyclef, to dissing LL. Giving Premo his beat back? Ridiculous. Dude was huge potential that turned into a huge joke.

  • @leave12 Bis rejected it, he never said it wasn't good enough, it just didn't fit his vision of what the track "Nigganometry" should be like. Canibus is an artist, with an acute vision, so I don't think you understand the story.

  • @smrfox99 I agree, he did have an acute vision. Albeit a shit one, which is why he rejected this beat.

  • the dudes an illiterate with no sense of pride

  • That is one fine lookin man........my my my

  • This is Premo????

  • @disgustika The drums kinda gives it away pretty easy

  • @TonybABM Yes youre 100% right. I just never thought of this as a Premo beat this whole time.... fail on me

  • @disgustika you're kinda dumb/not a hip hop fan if you can't identify a primo beat from 4 bars, much less 6 minutes.

  • @tysonbfrance Go fuck yourself, I was just surprised - I didn't expect it at all. I'm a huge hiphop fan and a huge Premo fan. I usually don't respond to fucks like you, but that really insults me.
