Native Mexicans won't necessarily get sick because they're used to drinking that and their bodies are used to it, but our bodies aren't. See, we haven't been exposed to the same bugs since our water is comparatively very clean. So, if an American goes to Mexico and drinks the water, there's a large chance they'll be spending a lot of time in the bathroom, and not cuz they want to.
