Boy, somebody had to blow the dust off this one! Yeah, Bama returned the favor winning 8 out of 9 from 1986-1994. And, of course, Saban owns the Vols having won 3 in a row! BTW, Bryant-Denny Stadium will hold over 100,000 next time you Viles come back! Not exactly Legion Field is it?
I love JJ, he always ran hard. I used to see him walking around the campus, he was a big star but you would never guess it. He was so humble and friendly you just had to love and respect him.
Man, I was at that game sitting about 6 rows up on the 10 in or near the UT section. I remember about 4-5 touchdowns over 50 yards...weren't we down 34-24 heading into the 4th? That was a helluva run and we finally believed.
It was actually Chuck Coleman who did most of the running for UT in the '82 game, he had 139 yards rushing. Jones was outstanding in the '83 and '84 games.
My cuzzo Johnnie and the best RB coach ever.

You're right, my mistake. I knew it was a youngster that stepped up though. That '82 game officially signaled the end of the Bryant dynasty.

Well here's a new dynasty for you. It's called the Saban dynasty.
Alabama 41 Tennessee 17 in Tuscaloosa
Alabama 29 Tennessee 9 in Knoxville
Alabama 12 Tennessee 10 in Tuscaloosa
Just the facts. Enjoy having a 10 year old boy as your head coach, motherfucker!!!
