  • GOLD DIGGER !!!

  • Why is it that my cheap point and shoot has better sound and video than any likewise priced camcorder I have seen...?

  • I have this Panasonic SDR-S26 for a little over a year now and I basically use it everyday. It hasn't let me down yet. Great camcorder!

  • @MrMikeMarquez Is this normal reslolution when you record beacuse i buy it and i wont to record somthing but not with this resolution.

  • @stefy747 Yes I don't mess with any of the settings at all. I basically have everything in automatic and I just point and shoot!

  • молодец,ямки за собой закапывает!

  • caddyshack anyone?

  • @Misho5z lol

  • i am selling this for a great deal and with ALOT of accessories

    WATCH MY LATEST VIDEO

  • i would like to ask a question. why is it that when i record a video in 16:9 widescreen format and record it in XP ( which i suppose is HD, since SP and LP are lower quality looking ), and upload it to YouTube, the video on YouTube displays as 4:3 and looks like shit ?

  • why the graphics better in your camera then in mine?? if got the same...

  • @coolymichael Yes, I use this too and the video looks like shit.

  • Devart, Do you know how far away you were from the guy you fllmed ? 500 feet ? 1,000 feet ?

  • no ! it's a serial killer who forgot his solid silver lighter on his victim !

  • Hey idiots! that dude was looking for meteors!

  • anyone know if you can edit on movie maker etc because ive heard different comments. some say that you cant edit on movie maker (different format) others say you can??? im thinking of getting this for christmas, it looks like such a good cam for the price, any help would be appreciated

  • yes im a 100% sure it works on windows and on windows movie maker

  • if it does u cam always change the video format

  • Caught ya! Trying to look for gold on my estate are ya boy! This camera is awesome, bought one a few weeks ago and am amazed at the quality for such a small price.

  • perfect for spying!!

  • It has the same quality as sdr-h80 ou h90 ?

  • WOW!!!

  • JUST GOT MINE 2DAY I LOVE IT

  • Don't buy Panasonic they have the worst customer service dept! Just hope your new camcorder doesn't fall apart. Google them and you will see all the complaints!

    GOOD LUCK!

  • Very true. Panasonic customer support is the worst I've ever experienced. However, I wouldn't trade my SDR-S26 for another camcorder (in fact, I traded my JVC GZ-MS120 for it).

Usually I don't purchase additional warranties but your best bet is to bypass panasonic altogether and buy it from somewhere like Future Shop and purchase their warranty service (and they typically throw in a 16gb card with it if you ask them to). This way, you can get it fixed quick without any hassle if needs be.

  • does this camera have threads for a fisheye

  • Yes, there are 37mm threads. Panasonic offers a 0.7x "fisheye", don't know about it's quality though

  • Yea.

I just ordered mine today with an Opteka 37mm fisheye

  • so could i fit any 37mm lens then.

  • Yea

  • yeah

  • I just bought this camcorder, and no it cannot be imported to windows movie maker directly, Panasonic wants you to use their software "Video Cam Suite" to edit and play your videos. In order to import the video in windows movie maker I had to manually search through the flash drive and find the MOD file I recorded.

Does anyone know how to get the 16:9 widscreen ratio to appear in windows movie maker?

  • Comment removed

  • Can it be imported to Windows movie maker?

  • hey, where you zoomed in fully in this vid ?

  • it's fully zoomed since about 23. sec.

  • im thinking of buying this, can anyone tell me how many fps it films at?

  • 25fps max.

  • 29.97fps

  • hi, did you use the digital zoom on this demo ....cause i heard that it can GO TO 3500X more closer using digital zoom ????

  • No, I didn't use digital zoom here, it was only optical 70x.

Yes, it can go up 3500x using digital zoom but I don't use that, I think that is useless. When I use digital zoom I only use option that let You go up to 100x.

  • I also have this camcorder. How are you uploading the videos? Are you using the YouTube upload function in the VideoCam Suite 2.0 software that comes with it? What settings are you using when you record (XP, SP, LP)? It looks like you are using the 3x4 format rather than 9x16. When I upload I do not get the HQ button and I am trying to figure out why. Thanks.

  • I didn't use "YouTube upload function in the VideoCam Suite 2.0" yet. I'm recording in XP settings, at this time it was in 4:3 format but i'm using 16:9 too. By now I'm editing my videos in Camtasia Studio and converting them, so they take less space on hdd. I'm uploading by Youtube website

  • How big was the original file? It was an mpg file right? Can you describe exactly what you did when 'converting' the file? How large was the file after the conversion? What was the resolution of the file before and after conversion? What version of Camtasia are you using? How do you like it? Thanks.

  • Original was mpg file about 90mb. In Camtasia I only convertet it to wmv format using preset named "camtasia studio best quality and file size". After that it was about 22mb. Resolution left the same as original (704x576)

I'm using Camtasia studio 4. It's good software for screen recording and that was reason why I start using it.

  • @devart666 any idea if camtasia did the deinterlacing for you? or was the wmv still interlaced when uploaded here? I ask 'cause it seems a bit bad when you're moving from side to side, almost like ghosting effects...

  • WOW, i can't even see him at the end of the video.

  • amazing, isn't it...?
