Byakuya did win the physical fight, notice how he still had soul power left even enough to vanish but Ichi-chan could barly even stand up? When Byakuya told Ichi he won, he meant because he wasnt going after Rukia anymore and wouldnt stand in Ichigo's way, he wasnt implying he lost the actual duel

Yeah, buts that's because it was his first fight with bankai. He couldn't maintain that speed he had in the beginning of the fight, later in the series he probably can.

Later in the series doesnt matter, Byakuya wasnt talking about being beaten in the future only then...face it in terms of their actual fight Ichigo lost, if you watch the end of the episode he cant move or even stand up without his sword while Byakuya walks away easily..also watch ahead in the series and you see why Byakuya gave in..no spoilers from me!
