if you are looking for a Filipina wife, better get to know her and the family. A good suggestion is find a decent and educated ones. Not all women the same. Some only after the trip outside the Philippines or money. But to tell you, Filipinas are wonderful wives to be. Just follow my advise. And if you marry one, be good to her and her family.

@mgdudz I do the exact same as you...I tell young guys I happen to encounter and conversate with, my young nephew and older guys to just forget about dating American women and go East to Asia. But specially go to the Philippines. My experience goes back 25 years when I was a young Marine stationed on Okinawa.

Of course not ALL the woman are good there but there is a very large majority of them that are! my advice to guys looking is to look there and talk and ask alot of questions. MYVW08, don't be nervous. the people there are wonderful. They will be very gracious. If you do not stay with your new family, then might I suggest Dottie's resort. I stayed there when I met my wife in May 2008. They have nice clean 4 star rooms at 1 or 2 star american prices. But let your betrothed bargain for the price. That will get you the lowest possible. @myvw08 I know exactly how you feel. I went through the same feelings but once I got there I relaxed and had the best time. The people there are super nice... They will stare at you but what I did was to just smile and wave at them. I know that you are concerned about bad things happening to you while you are there..DON'T! It is no different than here.. There are wrong places to be but Maria won't take you there. Bring some gifts for her family and hersey kisses! write me if you have questions

When you go shopping and you know what you want just let Maria do the bargining and you just walk away... Otherwise you will pay top dollar for the item! Its because most of the guys that come here waste there time in the ktv bars and massage places and end up falling inlove when the girl is only playing them for money. They are professional girls this is what they do to survive and feed themselves and families. If they were smart they would court the good and innocent girls working at the sm department stores and places like that. Living here is like a permanent vacation! The sooner u get here the better!haha

Very Nice. I've had similar experiences. I've been married twice to Philippinas. The first one didn't workout, but I had 2 sons with her. The second one did, but no children. I just got back from Luzon my 4th visit to The Philippines. There is a closeness in the family that is rare in The US. Life is a struggle there, between the poverty, natural, and man made disasters there is still beauty in nature and people.

Can anyone tell what the attraction of american men are to filipinas. Me a a girl have been together for 3 yrs. She is from Davao city comes from an average Filipino family her dad works at a dept store as a manager. I am an average american with a average income. She has never been married has no children and is 32 yrs old goes to church weekly. She was working but I had her quit and start school. We are planning to wed next year. We plan on living 9mo in the states 3 mo in php.
I Love the way that Gracey treats me and her Filipina traditions. She also came from a good family with values and we get along great!. I wish you all the luck and hope that everything works out

Its the role of feminine my friend. 90% of pinay believes to have a man he must have his natural role like a provider, security, etc. They dont want to be independent like women in the west being taught since they got into a public schools not nurtured by parents. Most Filipina believe to fulfill her role is to become the center of moral values and family, becomin a mother of his children. Women are vulnerable unless if men gets their heads up and be a man
