Yeah thats def. a goal. Obvious as could be too. and before anyone starts, im a hawks fan so i dont give a shit about either of these teams. unbiased opinion right here folks. I know their rare on the internet...
It was a goal. The whole pads crossed the red line, and if you watch carefully, Sabourin reaches for the puck far away in his pads. Same level as the skates.
we didn't trade conklin, he wanted to play for detroit...like Hossa....conklin was excellent...fleury is either completly on, or completly off, sabourin was decent....and i've only seen garon play a few times....so idk.
Sabourin was shitty. Caron was solid but he had the tendency to give up a lot of goals he shouldn't have. Conklin was great, but Brent Johnson (current) is probably my favorite of the backups, he's amazing and stones everybody on the breakaways.
Yeah, i really like him too...He's a great back up for fleury. He's fairly consistent, and i think his experience helps fleury a lot. I think we have a decent goal tending unit.
even if it was a goal danny got what he should of i mean do u realy think he tried to shoot it in the pad. he made the save and he keep his ankel over the line. they said it was at his ankel
They didn't want to damage the Pussburg Penguins ego/reputation by having a backup goaltender on a subpar team stop Sidney Crosby on a breakaway opportunity because then he wouldn't have anyone to blame or whine about. Just another call against the Islanders by the NHL. Any Islander fan knows that when they call Toronto it goes to the other team. Looking forward to the next Toronto screw job. Keep up the subjective work. Anyone watching that game can tell you about the horrible lopsided calls.
Yeah maybe he'll turn out to be the next Mario or Sidney. I mean it worked for the Pens many times. Then again perhaps I should say Ovechkin because Lord knows he's got it all over Sidney.
Instead of putting blame on the refs, look first to how the Islanders played in the 3rd period. They were outshot 18-1. I'd say they were lucky to even get a point in this game. They have no one to blame but themselves.
Thats so a goal. his pad went passed the line. and that means the puck is in.

sabourin has his moments but i think its risky to put him in net for a long time... garon did better... now we have john curry and brent johnson

Agreed about Conklin. He was a big part in saving our season last year after Fleury went down.

chechak01 2 years ago
@largeinthepants Conklin wasn't traded. He left in free agency. Sabourin was traded for Garon.

I was there as well. I took my own video of this shoot out and was freeze framing to watch the puck/leg.
His leg was past the freaking goal line. It was a freakin GOAL, DAMNIT!
ARGHHHH So frustrating... :(

I can't believe the puck got lodged in his pads, lol!!

Look at 3:00 the puck was over! Tonight the refs were terrible, you saw the true def. of the NHL superstar call.
nymets6986e 3 years ago
So you consider Danny Sabourin a superstar? Interesting.
bigburick 3 years ago
I was talking about Malkin and a little Crosby but mostly Malkin, if you touch him the worng way you get called as evident in the second period.
