An absolutely fantastic performance. Andre is a majestic gift to the world. He brings joy and fun to millions with his performances. The naysayers on these posts need remember only one thing...Andre brings happiness to people, you imbeciles bring nothing.
Andre is by far the best conducter (I think I spelt that wrong but bare with me) and composser in this entire world! he is such a gift to the world of music.
@abbyrocks100 He is far from the best conductor and composer in the world. He is however an excellent showman. His orchestra is full of talent but I feel they sound shallow at times due to Andre's rushing of strong, powerful passages. This video is a good example of that. This is my own opinion so not everyone will agree. Saying he is the best conductor, though, becomes less of an opinion and more a rediculous statement. This shouldn't sound l don't like him because i reckon he is pretty awesome
@dudeporky What I wanted to say was that he is one of the best ones in my opinion in modern times I would much rather go to a Motzart or Behtoveen concert but they are dead unfortunately
Gosh, I really live in the hinterlands where all they sing is cowboy music! How I would love to go to a concert like this! Superb tribute to Pavarotti!
@Nevermore1953 15 16 17 July 2011 on the same square you see in this video. Its Rieu's hometown. Maastricht, The Netherlands...book in advance...tickets go like hotcakes!! Google: Andre Rieu Vrijthof 2011

I heard this at the opening tour show - Romantic Viennese Night in Toronto back in 2007 of December. However this sounds much better live I can guaranteed you that! I was truly touched, when I heard this 3 years ago in concert!!
Beautiful, melodic and spine chilling music...what's that? Music schools are no longer permitted to teach students basic composition. Eveything must be atonal rubbish so as to insure that concerts by young, modern composers will unattended and quickly forgotten.
This is awful! These singers 'sing' the worst Puccini rendition I have ever heard. It was painful to hear. I know Pav can't be beaten-but there are many good tenors woh could do far better than this lot. And accompanied by the bland muzak 'orchestra' of Rieu. Why does Rieu only ever do the famous bits everyone's granny knows? He treats music as kitsch candyfloss muzak and assumes his audience are morons. I look forward to Rieu's versions of Stravinsky Rite of Spring and Mahler 5..er..maybe not.
I generally enjoy the Platin Tenors w/ Rieu, however this performance seems to be a rehearsal or two away from orchestral standards. That said though, every performer/instrumentalist has a bad night now and then.
Rieu wird leider viel belächelt und verspottet(von Nichtskönnern und Neidern), Gott sei Dank kratzt es Ihn wenig und er macht fleißig weiter... Rock(or Waltz, or whatever... it sounds great)!!!
omfg i went to his concert on saturday at sydney!!! totally raining and stuff, thankfully i was sitting under a covered area of the anz stadium. I herd this and had tears coming out of my eyes its soooo beeautiful omfg one of the best things in that show!!!!!!
I was at the first Melbourne concert where the Platin tenors sang "Nessun Dorma" Of course they were not trying to be Pavarotti's - Who could be? They did a wonderful tribute to the great Maestro, and I confess I cried!! Please accept that they did a great rendition. They have good voices in their own right.
What a Beautiful Rendition of My Favorite Aria!! Thank you SOO much for Posting this! I love Maestro Andre...and Of course Maestro Pavarotti. It was Very nice to see his picture...sort of ..a Tribute.. or a..."We miss you Maestro..this one's for you" at the Beginning of the piece. The three men did a VERY nice job...with an EXTREMELY difficult song. God Bless and Thanks again for posting such a beautiful video!
Of course u saw better performances rieu is a professional violinist and maestro but he is not singer this tenors are good but of course they don't compare to pavarotti
Tha music is perfect the voices not but they done their best i'm sure
