This diesel is horrible- its ruined what was a beautiful trip.
Took the Ooty express in 93 with my oldest daughter- and stayed at Fernhill Palace as the only guests. marvellous.

It is meter gauge. The number 6157 on the locomotive can be traced to IRFCA database where it says it is a YDM-4 \. The "Y" in YDM-4 says that it is a meter gauge locomotive
