it's about the gearbox, it is very very very short. i have a ford transit tipper with 125 bhp and a 80 bhp transit van is faster just because the gears are longer and they are speed oriented. the ones designed to carry heavy stuff, rather than large volumes are traction oriented and of course they accelerate slower

my old 312 sprinter from 1995 is a bit slower from 0-100kmh than the one in the video.
