I recently got my first OSX, which is 10.5 and I have to admit, Ubuntu is much better, though lags in speed. OSX (Bsd-Like-Unix) doesn't have blank screen, screen saver, which I remember Ubuntu (Debian-Based-Linux) having.
OSX is great but, lacks customization. OpenSource it is.

whatever the case, open source games, and open source in general, if put into greater use, would degrade the economic stability of the current computing industry
yes it would, upgrading the economic stability of billions of millions of trillions of people and companies for generations and generations (if done correctly), in my opinion
so true, ODF kicks A**. unfortunatly schools, offices, etc don't use linux (except for a few) so to be practical it has to be able to read and write to all the others too.

Exept we don't want to read all those file types.
We don't want them to even exist.
We need a format which can be read by all and not restricted.
