@TheNetrahsualc Well even though you think its not metal but this song has metal elements and influence. Plus, I don't know what songs your friend is letting you listen. Seem like he doesn't know how to recommend what songs or bands to listen to.
@TheNetrahsualc I agree with antagonist. to learn to love metal you dont just jump balls first into the heaviest stuff. you start with bands like blind guardian, sonata arctica, van canto, dio, or any of the other power, symphonic, or older metal bands. after you get used to that then you get into the harder stuff.
You have to be really ignorant to hate metal
