It seems to me all the screamed parts have no projection or diaphragm behind them, it sounds thin/brittle and hurts my ears. Especially at 0:20. The band sounds so huge and killer though. Tight as fuck and incredible players. Just my opinion please don't flame me but I think Spencer needs someone similar to Ross Robinson to get him where he needs to be projection/conviction wise on this new album. I love them but the one piece missing for me from Periphery at the moment is believable screaming.

True vocal talent is furnished by CONTINUITY and CONSISTENCY, man and nothing else. You don't lay down tracks in the studio that you can't sing live. Sorry. Spencer is proving that he's consistently bad live. He sounds like a strangled cat. He's out of his depth. That should be obvious. Only up your dynamic range on recordings when you have the ability to replicate it live. Good on tape but not on stage. The stage is not where you "practice", that's what practice is for.
