The best concert I have attended in my life to date. A few miles from where Yeats is buried and overlooked by bare Benbulin, it was a stunning setting. I thought this song was incredible. I believe it will be on his new album due for release towards the end of 2011.
Albert, I can't believe I never responded to this amazing video of yours. This moment...this song...the entire ambience will always remain in my heart. Thank you for all the recordings, but for some reason, this will always be my favourite!
Do not get me wrong, I deeply respect this man. His new song "Darkness" is real blues and it remainds me of "Dress Reharsal Rag" and his old stuff. Another new song called "Feels So Good" is packed with irony and is comparable to Everybody knows. Absolutely fabolous. However, this song and his last two albums just stink of Joe Cocker. Nothing against his back vocals, but I just dont like it when they take the main role in songs. I hope he will fetch the guitar, sing on his own and deliver.
@MrMarkocohen Then you'll be happy to hear that the studio version will be sung only by Mr. Cohen on the lead vocal, information came from his web forum.
Thanks for posting! Leonard and the band played this song in Malmoe to the other night, along with two other new ones; The Darkness and Feels so good. The man is still at his best as a songwriter. What treasures!
Just stumbled across a couple of videos of a true rough diamond, His name is Conall Toal. The videos are very amateur but the sound and lyrics are great. He’s really writing about something real which is nice to hear these days for someone so young. If You like him maybe you could comment, sub and Spread the word among all your friends asking them to do the same!! He may not be Cohen but he is only 21 after all !! Thanks
Saw Leonard on Saturday night, was blown away..... This song totally wiped me, so emotional ... Thank you Leonard for sharing your music with the world .....
Thanks for posting this Albert, unfortunately I wasnt able to make it to the concert.Im gutted,I have being listening to Leonard for 30 years and its the first time Ive missed a Lenonard Cohen concert in Ireland.
The Master is probably on stage again at Lisadell House as I write.
was there eating fresh oysters from the bay with my friends and the love of my life. Best gig I was ever at, every band member a master. He is one of the great mystics, a true poet.
A masterpiece.

What a beautiful song.
I heard the song live when Leonard Cohen was in Oslo for some days ago, and the atmosphere was overwhelming when they performed this song.
Born in Chains will come on his next album, and I am definitely going to buy it.
