Elton John just has a magnificent talent for beautiful ballads, but what I think makes his music fit this movie so well is how they both so powerfully capture a sense of true nostalgia. Nice montage btw. Isn't Kate beeeeeeeeuwdiful?

Kirsten Dunst almost got that part- I dont think I wouldve liked it. Bring it on is too stamped into my mind for her.... Penny was played perfectly. Its sad that everyone who misses those days cant do shit to bring it back...Just sit n talk with the people who will always live life like the 60s to make sure its never gets forgotten. I do not know of a film that better epitomises rock'n'roll and it's attitude. Beautifully crafted, with passion for the lifestyle oozing from the screen, fabulous film (especially the director's cut). This song is amazing with it, well done!

I grew up in San Diego during the time period this film was set in & it perfectly captured the atmosphere of the era. As well as the personalities & dynamics of the rock-n-roll lifestyle of the time. I spent way too much at concerts at the SD Sports Arena fetured in the film & most of the time I didn't get in to via the front gate & tickets. It helped to know people who worked at the arena. Kate played the role to perfection. For all the craziness, there was also an air of innocence.
