  • Another great vid. Thanks for sharing man,

    Peace

  • Hey Kwonkicker, i watch a ton of your videos and find them really helpful. I was wondering on these exercises how many sets are you doing of each exercise. Just one each till failure?

  • *move*

  • This is a great thing you do. I was injured about 7 months ago, and i had to maove away from my school. I'm just starting to practice again, because I'm without my instructor, I would have no way to make sure I'm using correct technique, If it wasn't for your videos.

  • I need help...anyone please. I am ranked at 2nd degree black belt...yet I have been training wrong for 11 years making it extremely difficult to relearn.

  • Would you recommend doing all the exercises in this vid in one session? And, what rest time between exercises would you suggest? Thanks for another great vid!

  • @superbananapeel1 dude stop playing runescape it takes over your life I stopped 5months ago and it's been good since then

  • Beutiful tips and tutorials :), Just a question, Is any of this comparable to plyometrics? What I mean is are there any differences / benefits of either?

  • @chinesep1mp

  • Good workout

  • u shuld try out track

  • Hi, I'm so glad I found your videos. You are very helpful. :)

I have a question for you. About 2 years ago I had an accident and broke my ankle, and am finally realizing I need an ankle support. I'm a Taekwondo student, so obviously we jump and practice many explosive kicks, board breaks, and heavy sparring. I would like to find something for maximum mobility (for round-kicks, etc.) So I was wondering what kind of ankle support you would advise?

  • @XoxCoutureAngelxoX Any type of ankle support made for kickboxing. They offer support, but are flexible enough for mobility. I usually go with Nationman brand or Top King brand.

  • @kwonkicker we have to do this on tractor tyers

  • don't forget to close the drapes when practicing this in your living room

  • is jumprope a good exercise for agility and calf strength or did I just not strech enough before jumproping yesterday?

  • Can u make a nutrition video???

  • hi knowkicker..wil these tutorial improve my reaction??i mean like aviod punches, kicks?

  • Mario Jump for the win

  • i have learn a lot from you but i can't practice properly but i try my best to

  • How do I train for my flying knee? I can't get enough height for it to hit the guy's chin.

  • @BeatRider44 I can get a lot of height when I jump off the knee I hit with. I jump off my right leg and since that leg is already extended (or cocked) right after i leave the floor, all i do is snap it up to what i want to hit. It takes practice and its not as fast but its a good way to train

  • So the myth is wrong. XP

    White men can jump. (^_^)

  • Nice bro

  • I am recovering from an injury on my right ankle, I have full movement now, do you think I can engage in these drills. by the way i got injured about one month ago

  • thanks for all the informative tutorials i have learned allot... any chance in the future for a tutorial on jumping front kicks or on muay thai knee strike techniques?

  • he looks like the guy in the beginning of Captain america, no offense

  • Hey Kwonkicker,

Should you do jump training after a regular workout or before, or should it be the only workout of the day?

  • Comment removed

  • at 9:12 you forgot to say depending on your level :P

  • this is also great cardio if you're doing it continuously. Absolutely great.

  • Hey, Kwonkicker, I trained in WTF TKD for a couple of years then I hurt my back after a few failed 540 kicks (I'm a teenager). How would you recommend getting back to martial arts?

  • Thank you Kwonkicker!

  • and he is back!

  • Can these exersices be done in trainers for instance if im practicing outside?

  • Thank you kwonkicker, I lerned much in your tutorials.

  • Thank You! Love your tutorials!

  • what's the point of the "sport" socks with the ball of foot exposed, i've never seen the point of them ^.-

  • @Veng3ence That's because they aren't "socks". They are ankle supports, designed to help brace the ankle for forceful impact. Like jumping, explosive footwork or kicking with full force. Now you know the point of them. ^.-

  • @Veng3ence ankle support.

  • is pogo stick cheating?

  • @Kwonkicker you the BOMB yo xD!!.....dude TEACH ME

  • @kwonkicker :D

  • what would be a good resting period in between these workouts?

  • I just want to know would this also work if I'm Practicing Mixed Martial Arts

  • @TheIronFist01 Yes, it should help build agility for most combat sports, and even some non-combative sports (like basketball, tennis, etc).

  • @kwonkicker That Good to Hear Thanks you

  • @kwonkicker just curioushow many inches is your verticle?

  • @kwonkicker Just want to know. What is your name? :)

  • 1 people can't do a jump... ( he might too fat )

  • i've been watching your videos for awhile now. thanks a lot kwon

  • Man, I can do the hopping-type exercises, but I haven't got anywhere near enough air to kick my butt / touch my soles before I'm already starting my descent towards earth.

Big Respect for your jumping abilities!

  • Awesome tutorial. We actually did some of these in my plyo class, but we did these everyday and we never had a chance to rest.

  • I really appreciate your tutorials. I live in a small rural town and the closest martial arts training facility to me is about 40 miles away, too far for me to be able to attend with any regularity. Your channel is my favorite one to use for training so please the tutorials coming!

  • lol kwonkicker u look like my english teacher mr filizetti

  • I have right now 2 bones on the table of my foot broken, so its no training for 5 weeks.

This accident happened again because of my weak ankles.

Can you please do a video on ankle and srist strength/ durablity because i sprain my ankles so often and its annoying as ************* because i have to skip training because of the pain then... I use same kinda supports as you have on in this video btw

  • good video as allways. mario jumps lol xD

On topic, well explained as always :)

  • thanks for another great tutorial :)

  • good to have u back kwonkicker!

  • The one thing I love about Kwon Kickers tutorials is that they are universal to any style of fighting out there.

I do Boxing and Muay Thai (adding wrestling to the mix soon). Though flying techniques are not in our main arsenal, having the strength that plyometric exercises give you will teach the fighter how to be light on his/her feet and move around more efficiently, in fact we do similar exercises at the Boxing gym along side with skipping.

  • can you dunk? :))

  • Nice video! Gonna start doing this, let's see if my knee pain goes away When my legs get stronge & sexy. I play Football/Soccer Lol :)

  • ...Jump around, jump around...

    :-D

    Cool tutorial, kwon.

  • We do these sort of exercises on a tire in Muay Thai.

  • lol massai :D

  • Awesome vid, bro! Love these ^_^

  • Yu da man

  • Do you know what your standing vertical is?

  • do you do wtf or itf?

  • @saturn861 He used to do WTF, aka Kukkiwon, or aka Kukki-Taekwondo.

  • Agility training?wow!i rmb this was my request! =) Thanks, kwon

  • Hey Kwonkicker will this drill help my thai kicks?

  • @AznboiY2J No matter what style you are, or what style of kicks you do, this will help to improve your explosiveness for your kicking techniques. The more conditioned your calves and thighs are, the stronger and faster you'll be able to spring off the ground with the foot of your kicking leg before you kick, increasing the velocity of the strike.

  • @kwonkicker thanks a lot! big fan of yours...hope to see you in another fight

  • TKD footwork is one of the best calf trainers ever...

  • nice vid! i do most of these for warm ups before kicking, i like the jumping squats, theyr killer awesome!

  • @kwonkicker i know its not a biggie. anyway hey can you do a 720 hook? if so could you possibly make a tutorial for it? (i know youve done a 540 hook tutorial)

  • Awesome video! I was wonder how you would use your techniques for self defense situations.

  • dude when you look at the picture for a video you look like you've been hanged :)))))

    anyway awesome video, tnx ;)))

  • Hey kwonkicker where did you get the shorts that have your name on them?

  • great video, I can't wait to start these tomorrow morning

  • hey kwonkicker why do your feet tick to the ground? i have noticed every time they seperate from the ground the make a sound as if they were on something sticky.

  • The Super Knee from double dragon at 15:09

  • NICE =D! It worked out well =D! I am not a good jumper, & I jump really low. So, yes, I'm more grounded XD. Will really incorporate this on my training for sure =D!

  • @Loyal2law Thanks! And yeah, I was able to salvage the footage for the most part. But I think the overheating caused a few glitches and also caused the footage to shake at times, even though the camera was on cement on a tripod. Hopefully that problem will correct itself as the months get cooler here in the US.

  • @kwonkicker There were some glitches, yes, but really negligible. They were part of the editing anyways. i can definitely relate to you on the hot weather. I'm already baked brown T_T. Too bad that the summer heat will be at its peak next month >_>.

  • @kwonkicker i dont know if it works with tapes, but if a computer/or laptops hard drive overheats from what ive herd putting it in a freezer till its cooled down can save the data from it

  • Hey kwon hit me with a regimen i want explosive kicks and some stretches for higher kicks

  • @AlastorDarkAngel great idea, I hope he covers that next video.
