  • Actually its the people here who are the national disgrace.

  • FUCK AMERICAN HEALTH CARE I CANT EVEN AFFORD TO TREAT MY DIABETES THANKS AMERICA ANOTHER MAN TO DIE BECAUSE OF YOUR GREED THANK YOU.

  • almost every country on earh except for a few african nations and the usa, provide universal healthcare for it's citizens, something is very wrong in the united states. very wrong

americans pay for the police, fire department through tax yet won't pay for free healthcare ??? someone explain that madness to me

  • @jopeon1983 im from the uk and we europeans like all canadians, asians etc love our healthcare so much it's considered a birthright

  • @jopeon1983 It's also a birthright to be stolen from, to act docile and stupid OH THE GOVERNMENT CAMERAS AND COPS WILL SAVE ME!!! Pathetic, that's why your that much more in a hell hole than the US and were doing this while nation building! I don't approve of expansionism is just proves how terrible and how much waste is in your system.

  • @wtfjaftw

"that's why your that much more in a hell hole than the US"

    Ahem....

46,000,000 Million Americans live beneath the poverty line...

Having lived in both countries, I'll take the UK any day of the week...

I was physically SHOCKED by the appalling poverty and homelessness problem in the States...

The United States government and public should hang their heads in SHAME!!!

  • @Hammersley1967 Ha! Lol well the UK just makes the people poorer, and below the poverty line? That's an outright lie, if you cannot afford AC, water, and food on your table you are not really poor and you have nothing to complain about. And of course you went to a bad urban area in one of the welfare neo-liberal states probably, not to mention the US is not is a free market as it used to be! Everything you attack me US is not as good just proves my point why the free market capitalism is better

  • @wtfjaftw

Oh... I wasn't aware of that...

WELL THEN I REALLY HATE THE UK!!!

    THE FOOD'S SHIT!!!

    THE PEOPLE SUCK!!!

AND IF YOU GET HURT, YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR 12 HOURS IN A GRIMY, TURD INFESTED EMERGENCY ROOM!!!

  • @eugene680 dido eugene! Thank goodness we're Canadians!

  • Can an American answer this question?

Why doesn't the US government pay for everyone's health care who does not have insurance?

    What's the problem?

I'm Australian and my wife underwent a bilateral lung transplant 2 years ago.

We have a combined income of less than $50,000.

The government payed for pre-transplant care, surgery and post transplant care.

The entire cost - which would have been several million.

An its Australia - a far less wealthy country than America.

    WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

  • @Hammersley1967 I was considering having rich people like kim kardashian and charlie sheen to help pay for healthcare do you know how much charlie sheen gets paid for ONE episode of Two and a half men?! its in the millions... its an idea though. and everyone knows nobody watches "Keeping up with the Kardashians and they get paid big money to make a pile of shit on the air waves...

  • @Hammersley1967 I am. Our government cares more about companies than the people they represent. They get "lobbied" with money or gifts by special interests who want us to be sick. When we are we have to pay for medince and surgery.

  • You Americans are a Bloody Disgrace to the World. You should have had a National Health Service decades ago - now look what has happened.

I read the other day that 6 MILLION children in the USA have NO Health Insurance or access to a doctor!

Does that make you Yanks proud? Does that make you want to get out your Ratty Ass American flag and waving back and forth and sing "God Bless America".

You bent ass people. When will you wake up and see that your fellow citizens are suffering - Children!

  • You call this The American Dream? That land of oppurtunity? A country with no intergrity and the only thing that matters is money? I'm glad I was born in Canada.

  • Members of any society have a symbiotic relationship with every one else, in looking after every one we look after or selves .but some think they have a right to benefit from society with what they earn and then refuse to give anything back .and to all those selfish bastards who have done well and can pay, eventually you will know someone be it a family member a friend ETC who cannot and then you might think ?

  • i am in canada and we have free health care. The way i look at it is, its not about me or i, but what WE can do together to help when we are in need.

  • I cant understand why so many Americans criticise our National Health System here in the UK.

    We are very lucky.

  • I have family from England ..... you guys are lucky...... Congress in the USA has completely gotten outta touch with what people are going through ... it's truly pathetic....

  • Its does seem crazy.I can understand people asking why they should pay for somebody else, but surely healthcare shouldnt fall into that argument. You never know whats around the corner in life, and it would be interesting to see if the wealthy still had that same attitude if they were to fall on hards times.

Healthcare shouldnt be a political pawn, its a human right in my humble opinion.Nobody in the UK begrudges paying their nation insurance, even those that also have private health care.

  • Totally .... TOTALLY agree with you ....

  • @Q3ToPBuZz I think the problem that most people from the UK and Canada don't realize is that the US has absolutely no trust in their governments ability to provide a quality service. None whatsoever, we pay multitudes times more for the government to provide us with something than what we would pay a private provider. It's not about wanting the same thing for everybody it's about how we provide it, government is not the answer.

  • @noobview blame fox news my friend

  • @noobview I am responding to a comment you made several months ago about US healthcare. You say that we Americans have no trust in our government to provide quality service. I disagree. There many services that we rely on government for. Is it bureaucratic at times? Yes. Are the people rude sometimes? Yes. But how is that you'd trust a corporation to provide healthcare? It is a complete lie that government is the problem. We are the problem because we don't know what it means to be a citizen.

  • Corporations are not interested in the public good. They are interested in profit. They do not provide health care. Corporations provide a way to PAY for health care. If we could decide on what kind of country we'd like to be, we'd stop having these rabid ridiculous fights. It's easy. Health care for everyone, not just for people who can afford it. It's simple. Let's just decide for the common good of everyone. Damn the corporations. Let's improve goverment. We are the government, anyway.

  • the NHS was a mess in the 60s and 70s

it was underfunded and the quality of care was substandard it was like your state industries before thatcher privatized them

inefiiceint unprofitable and unable to compete. you realy were to hard on ton blair and new labour

    thatcher neglected the NHS

blair reformed it increased funding made it more private and improved qulity

the dutch have a totally private insurance sytem that covers all

i think it is the best model

  • @billyysands

    exactly public HEALTH INSURANCE

    and private HEALTH CARE

  • Democrats and republicans work for corporate America!

    Check out the Nader/Gonzalez ticket!

    Single payer universal health care.
