  • I still get this... Running vista 32 home premium, it got sorted for me as well for a while but after bios 4.60 it got real bad again... I tired win 7 32/64 but same crap there... it stutters regularly every third second. Anyone know where I can download old toshiba bios from?

  • @27sevenSToFo The old Toshiba BIOSes are still hosted on their website. Go to support.toshiba.com and enter your laptop model. When you find BIOS 4.70 (the latest), there should a a [+] box besides it. Click it and it should show all the previously released BIOSes. I'd recommend to downgrade to v4.50

  • @jessi3k3 Thanks I found 4.50 on another website and it sorted the problem. Not even the very latest 4.80 fixes the stuttering problem... What was toshiba thinking?

  • force vsync on

    lol

solved the prob with me xD

  • Forcing VSync wouldnt do anything. BIOS 4.00 to 4.50 fix the issue so no VSync forcing is needed.

  • is nvidia geforce 7900 gs a graphics card if yes what graphics card did u have before u installed nvidia geforce 7900 gs plz respond back to me

  • Yea, I have an Nvidia Geforce GO 7900 gs graphics card. I did not have a previous graphics card since this is a laptop. You cant replace graphics cards on laptops.

  • thx for the info ill sub

  • What Computers/OS is your link the the Toshiba thing for, if any.

  • It's for P105/P100 toshiba satellite models with discrete graphics. The file is the BIOS installer for windows but it also has a .iso file so you can burn it and boot it up and install it without windows.

  • So I'm guessing it won't work with my Dell desktop.

  • just think of the lag time as "Bullet Time" lol- Booom HeadShot!!!

  • Holy shit heh, I have the same laptop, same problem. I downloaded the update from the link you provided and it fixed it!! God dam I've had this for like 18 months and finally got that annoying ass problem fixed, sweetttttt.

  • What game is that dude? I'm Using Nvidia GeForce 9600 ^_^

  • nice...im using an 8800 Ultra Super colocked ^_^

  • no1 gives and flying ass pipe^_^

  • Umm, 4870 ftw :D

  • it's Halo

  • 9800 gtx+ ^_^

  • Nah, it's my camera phone.

  • or is it a dark map

  • why is it so dark, is it the gam or the camera

  • New 4.20 OFFICIAL Toshiba BIOS is out. It's almost the same as the 4.10 (fans on all the time) except this one has "64-bit OS support"

  • Solution found. Check the video description

  • Please let us know when the OFFICIAL 4.1 bios for Toshiba is avilable. With all th weird fan problems of the beta 4.1 I don't dare use it. My p100 came with a 7600 Go card by the way. It is definitely not GPU or Vista specific.. it is the BIOS.

  • Not sure if that update is out there, but try using a Laptop cooler and elevating the laptop so it has better air flow. This may be partially do to heat, but I think the BIOS fix will definitely help allot.

  • Good all Def, yea I am getting a laptop cooler for Xmas. Since then I believe a new Bis has come out as well. Gonna try that, and I hope Nvidia can churn out a decent driver for my g7600 card that came with my system.

  • Ehm.. I know how to fix the problem but the website the fixer was on is shutted down.. Sorry

  • First of all, laptops have always had slow, low power processors and the nVidia driver is very CPU hungry. It realy needs the full power of a desktop CPU. Also, running the game at a resolution other than the native resolution of that LCD screen can slow it down and cause a lot of ghosting.

  • If this is true then how is it that some Dells/Alienwares/Acers with the same GPU and similar GPUs dont have this issue running Vista? Their games run perfectly fine. The hardware is totally capable of running this game or any game thrown at it today. By the way, I was running this particular match 1024x768.

  • vista suxs!!!!!!!!!

  • i HATE lag on pc games

  • hmm thats kinda weird, maybe try upgrading to a 8800? or if you are on a budget go with the 8600?

  • thats the worst kinda feed back ever.

its prob just a driver that need updating

  • Windows Vista does not currently support NVIDIA SLI functionality

  • My goal was to say that the hardware power of that laptop is enough for those games, and when people came with "the processor is too wick or you need more RAM"...they understand NOTHIG.

  • SLI is for 2 video cards, p105-9337 has just ONE.. you m*** f** shut your mouth when you don't know what is all about. Maybe you are right about windows support , BUT SLI is nothing to do with..

  • Or it's a BIOS problem.

  • Why you people are trying to seem so smart, but don't even bother to read other comments. It is the driver problem, not the processor, ram or even (that's funny) the game disc corrupt.

  • wow ur stupid u dont know shit

Windows Vista does not currently support NVIDIA SLI functionality

  • it that the hp pavilion 6000t?

  • i have the same problem, from what i hear the driver is coming out soon.

  • C2D T7200 2.0Ghz 4MB Cache

  • i think i might have a solution maybe it's that crappy vista damaging your machine for many reasons one maybe that vista is mainly built for dx10 cards or that vista is just a pile of fucking bullcrap

  • Dont worry their might be a bug in the game that decreases framerates or it could be that the disc is corrupted who knows but for one thing it shouldnt b runnin that slow 7900gs and 2igs of ram it should be brlliant Hope it all works out fine

    !!

  • Get more ram. If you have 1 gig get 2. If your card is 128 mb get more.

  • I have 2 GB RAM. My videocard has 256 MB Video RAM.

  • then i don't know. Get a better processor, or find a technician that can perform some kind of diagnostic or change a setting that will stop everything you are not using with background services.. because this happends to me when someone messages me on aol instant messenger, the slow motion effect. Remember that just having 2 gigs of ram means nothing. you could possibly change the ram sticks out with "gaming ram" which is faster at accessing than the traditional ram.

  • so what is your processor?

  • Your machine has the power just not the support. I feel for ya Jessi3k3. I'm returning my p105 9337 this week. Faith in the company "supporting" this product is all but gone. Many attempted fix's to rid the stutter but nothing solid. There are several forums out there of owners like yourself trying to create a fix... GL hope your luck is better than mine!

  • well. .the graphics card is only 7900... try like 8400 GS, or GTS,... GTX

  • it's because you're running windows vista, if insuficient ram, it'll kill whatever you're doing, gotta hate it and it's cheapness

  • I have the same problem.. and the same brand on the computer.. dunno how to fix it.. yet

  • not sure what your prob is but it runs on my laptop almost 100% (round 97.2% smooth) and im underpowered on my laptop (ati radon mobile 9600)

  • its the Nvidia drivers in Vista they dont work that grate with newer games ATI drivers are better on my laptop with C-S 1.6 with Nvidia in Vista some times it will just randomly start to stutter then i have to restart the game but on my Desktop With ATI graphics every think is 100%

  • holy shit good graphics

  • yeh for a laptop performance.

  • I'm having the same exact problem with my 7900GS go in my e1705 when playing WoW. I noticed that if I minimized all background windows that I have running, it helps a bit though. I'm fairly sure this is a vista only problem as my friends have the same computer (identical) and get amazing fps. If you find a resolution to this problem let me know!

  • Jessy!!!!!!!!!

There is a solution. After I watched your vid I decided to have another look.

The problem is not the Nvidia Driver it is your laptops BIOS. You need the an earlier BIOS version.

I just got the Toshiba 2.40 BIOS to overwrite 3.30 that I have at the moment and all my games are now fixed.

  • Solution does not work on S9337 S9339 models because the 2.40 bios does not have those models included.

  • No this is a well known problem for many people running mobile Nvidia chipsets. I have EXACTLY this problem, with all my games. It's totally unacceptable, I have tried every incarnation of the modded drivers at laptopvideo2go, to no avail. Nvidia don't officially support Mobile chipsets, and Toshiba haven't released any drivers for my laptop. Jessi have you found any drivers that work? If so please let me know because I haven't.

    Regards

    Andy

  • Here's what I think. It might be a rare problem you have and you just got unlucky, but a Nvidia 7900 Go GS video card CAN play halo 2 no problem. Thats the way it should be. Windows Vista is not a disaster. All new operating systems have probems when they are first created. XP had its problems and is now very reliable. I have seen Vista and Halo 2 work on a laptop with settings to the max. The 7900 is a strong card.

  • yup... pretty much what it looks like for me when I play games like BF2.

I have the same card in my laptop also

  • is this only for 1 type of vista or for all? (sorry dont know much about vista) and is a mouse 100% needed to play (wanting to get it for a laptop)

  • Reguardless or not if I'm using FRAPS, the stuttering still occurs. If I record with fraps I get below 5 FPS and the game is totally unplayable. I just have fraps on for reference. Sorry for the low quality vid.

  • You're using FRAPS - which I'm pretty sure fucks up the FPS.
