The Tea Party showed in 2010 that the Christian Right might be losing influence in the Republican Party. Which would be a good thing for Republicans because they would be able to attract more Independent Voters.

The Religious Right doesn't have a legitimate "way" to lose in the first place!  And if they've lost it, good! The more confused and out of touch they are, the quicker they die as a movement and get the fuck out of my politics forever. You DON'T belong! The country is in much better shape overall than you think. We're not all evil hedonists. There isn't crimes and murders on every single street corner every minute. There aren't 100% teen pregnancies.
