  • I actually am liking this thing. For the small price of 499 u can get this thing on ebay. It's small, i'd imagine it's light, and I have also taken into consideration vestax actually makes most of there products 2 b able to scratch and cut rite out the box (due 2 decent faders). I wouldn't mind trying to fit an innobender in it for a couple extra bucks either. I think this thing right here's gonna b my next investment.

  • your "TRIM" is too hight :/ will make your speaker crash ...

  • Hey man I'm just curious I know with the Vestax Typhoon you need to make your scratch samples, does vci-300 come with scratch samples or do you have to make your own?

  • Which one of these controllers is best for virtual DJing. My cousin that does weddings does DJ emulation simulation mixing with a virtual DJ console, and he said I should get one with a stink button, because then I can go to the outside of the building and smoke cigs while doing the mix and never miss a beat.

  • Niceee :)

  • Hey bro what speakers your using with your VCI-300?

  • nice job man.....did cool with scratching...i dont know how to scratch n i have one of these but dyin to learn scratching but surely come early with that but u r 1 of the best of seen so far with vci.keep up d gud job buddy.....

  • I lov MADLIB works...this is a demostration that REAL hip hop still live

  • why do old school dj's feel you have to go to turn table boot camp b 4 you dj? just cause i broke my ass with a bunch of vinyl crates and 2 turntables that don't mean the new dj has to do the same. back then u had to improvised these days there are tons of equipment to suit your dj needs, if you old school guys don't get on the band wagon you will get left behind along with the bugy whip.

  • def like this, practicin to get that good on my vci-300 :)

  • @MrJones283 Madlib-2 mc or not mc

  • As the jog wheels are not motorized (for a rotation identical to a turntable), we still feel the frustration that is to use a toy.

  • Picked up a cheap Hercules controller off ebay that uses Virtual DJ software.... full of bugs..... but i like the whole Software setup, Will be looking into a vci-300, if a cheap DVS system turns up on ebay i'll be on it!

  • freshe case:) richtig geil wo bekommt man die scratch sounds her

  • Thank's OMS.... Do you or anyone else know if Reloop spin 2 is any good, it seams to do the same as serato but with an included trigger box and it's half the price!? Any body experience both systems? do i need a fast pc/laptop to run either one i know that you are a min of a gig processor but what sort of troubles do get from running that sort of speed of PC....

  • Can anyone PLEASE settle this..... i have a set of techninic 1210's i am looking to move into digital mixing because of my ever increasing mp3 collection.... do i buy CD decks! ...... or a MIDI controller.... OR something like Sterato scratch.... consider if you would that fact i have had the pleasure of using the best turntables around, i don't stick to one type of music genre... scratching is something i do but not that often. seems to me ther is alot of choice but not enough good advice.

  • @DJCJ999 Dj CJ in your case since your already favor turntables and know how to use them, then go with Serato. You can buy a used Serato box off someone for 4-500.00 (US) maybe cheaper. I too used and still have my technics and upgraded to Serato about 4 years ago. When I first saw the VCI-300 I laughed, but then saw the benefits of the unit and its ease of use, I bought one, but got it mainly because its so portable. On another note, CDJ's are still mainly used in every large club.

  • @DJCJ999 I was wondering the same thing for a while - all depends on what you're doing. My situation was a little different - I didn't have anything to start with. I went with the vci-300 because it's lightweight and portable (I'm in college) and uses serato itch - fantastic software. But since you already have turntables you might think about going with serato scratch live. Try and get to a store to try them out, that's how I decided on the vci-300.

  • @DJCJ999 i tried torq, its joke far as reliability. moved onto scratch live. love it, i want a midi controller like this but want to use my ssl 1 with it.

  • @DJCJ999 i feel you im in the same market as you what to buy.:) im really really thinking the vestax vci 300 mk2 looks fun:) an every thing my tables will do an then some:)

  • @DJCJ999 my advice is don't choose a dj equipment around the scratching factor, scratching is nothing more than a novelty. i have the vci-300 and i love it. also look into traktor 4. i'm a mobile dj and would never go back to turntables. once you get used to the midi controllers i asure, you will feel the same as i do.

  • well ttench6 i think u should just go back to fucking guys you dont know what he is going thru so just fuck off

  • honestly, this thing is a toy. if you want to scratch get yourself two technics and a mixer. then once you get used to the feel of vinyl, get serato or traktor (scratch pro) and start mixing. if i walked into a club and saw someone using a vci-100 or 300 i would laugh so hard. i feel like its for little kids.

sure it's portable, but most clubs have cdj's or turntables built in anyhow.

  • @TTench6 I'm not sure where your from but around here in Colorado every DJ I've seen lately uses nothing else but midi controllers and Ableton. I feel your pain though, I started 9 years ago lugging my decks and vinyl to gigs, then moved up to Serato, and after making fun of the VCI-300 for about 6 months I went and bought one after I saw what I could do with it. BTW not all clubs have a booth where people can see into.

  • @onemindspinning people fear what they can't understand. hate what they can't conquer. that's just the theory of man... The sad part is the lack respect for "the right to bang out". You get to thinking shit is funny and laughing and fail to see all the necks nodding is none other than agreement. Djaying, like everything has to progress in order to move on.

  • @onemindspinning

I own a VCI 300... Well i owned one and it is after all a nice setup to start with!

I noticed that it was just not enough having this controller - its scratching is ok, but compared to vinyl setups totally different and not compareable... And I figured that if I wanted to move on in Deejaying, I needed something bigger, more Club oriented!

Afterall the VCI is a smaller, easier version of the real, big setups, like Denon setups of pioneer setups...

  • @TTench6 im a turntable user as well but sometimes there not room for decks this thing is great for rocking a bar or small party :)

the 1200 or dead so we or fucked my friend they stop making them .

even my vestax may one day go out there $800 for one new one . i have been djing for 15 years and i know its time to move on besides everything now a days sounds like the real thing . right now im rock mixvibes and it dont mix it self .the vci looks like it kicks ass im going to have to get one :)

  • @sutminpikkemand mayber you should actually say somethn before you type dildo! go play with your guitar hero asslicker! only little white cyber bitches talk about this shit, cuz they never had any skill to be on a real turntable in the first place!

  • Sorry, i forgot, congrats! You have awesome skills at scratching! ;) Bigup

  • Really awesome!! I didn't think any midi controller would be able to do that with this quality, it sounds like vinyl!

I hope the Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Controller Edition that i'm thinking to buy, be able to do the same!

  • good stuff man! real smooth beat, nice cuts....keep on rockin!

  • can some one tell me if i can immediately start scratching with the vci 300 from apple store? Much appreciated

  • @raisedbythepeople No I dont think that unit can scratch. The one @ the apple store is an introductory unit and doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the VCI-300 does. PS the 300 is a 16 bit midi controller vs all the others which are 8bit, thus it can mimic vinyl.

  • does anyone know how to get that vinyl sound right after you release the platter on the vci 300?

  • its just a simple baby scratch. u have to release the cross fader and baby scratch.

  • That was amazing!

  • watching everyones scratching on the Vci 's makes me want one so bad... nice

  • Could you tell me where to get the Ahh sample as an mp3 data? ty

    btw nice scratching

  • beatport has a dj tools section, i bought one by deekline and wizard that had fresh, ahh, and all other choice kuts. a simple google search should do the trick, i mean... cmon... why are you even asking dont waste your time google that ish already.

  • @DJPexterity google

  • what is that made for babies? i guess vestax pays more attention to regular tables good for them! that shit is tooooo small!!

  • @ozoid455 maybe when you save up all your money from working at 7-11 you can some day have your very own pair of decks instead of watching youtube videos are wishing you did.

WHERE'S THE VIDEO OF YOU and QBERT!? see.. if you were really such a groupie like you are! that shit would be all over youtube! but it aint!

  • Yes it is a small 10lbs unit, but I think thats the point. I can fit it in a backpack and plug and play anywhere that has a stereo receiver.

  • nah it's too small, real tablist use the full 12 inch not two baby fingers! sorry not sold! at least the DENON s3700 has a bigger platter!

  • @ozoid455 small but still has amazing table feel. coming from someone with both timecodes, this and cdjs, and making shitloads of money off the vci. had one since last may

  • THIS SHIT IS DOPE!

could you hook it up with the song names?

    cheeers man keep it up!

  • i can tell u, crabbing is not easy, also the scratches are delayed, so timing is a factor. only scribbles and mild transforming seem to be available. complex tricks like prisms and wave twisters seem to lack on the vci's. u tell me? vinyl is still the best form of scratching

  • yeah your right about that, you can do somewhat wave twisters, but yeah it;s a lil delayed and vinyl is definitely the way to go for scratching. The VCI is good for having a light portable way of dj'ing, otherwise for performance and looks it's turntables all the way.

  • 5* and thanks for subbing!

  • Rythmik972 you need to watch your file waves on the computer screen until your hand eye coordination improves

  • SO GOOD BOss !!! KEEP ON !!!

  • Frozen: My advice start by counting beats and have a great understanding of your music, then start off with chirps and baby scratches. Theres tons of videos on here that teach that stuff. Hope this helps....DJ Senile OUT!

  • yes thx its help me ...peace out i am out

  • i have a vci 300 aswell, will watching tutorials on how to scratch on a turntable but im having trouble understanding cause the vci's platters don't move.

  • the end result???? a ton of qbert clones! no originality no style and i guess since most of the fuck heads are white on here ! no rhythm!

  • Frozen: I started on vinyl and yes that does give you a better understanding and I believe ALL dj's should start out with it or at least have a turntable set up to practice. The VCI300 helps because you don't have to worry about the needle skipping, warped vinyl or dirty records, and you can be more aggressive and try crazy new things.

  • ?? how you do that?? i try and try... i have no experience with that. What is the trick can you give me some tipps or nice scratch tracks...its better to learn it on vinyls and go that to this??

  • RainDrop... I uploaded a bunch of my vinyl scratch records, but you can try and download "Scratch" bit torrents I'm sure, just search for Q-Berts Ultimate Scratch Albums. SAMPLETHIEF.. Yes the VCI-300 is awesome, if your looking to either get into DJ'ing or if your a veteran DJ trying to carry less equipment to the gigs.

  • i just got mines on sep 3 2009, don't know shit what im doingwith it but the controler is the shit,, im having a ball just goofing with it, but you have to be very creative with it.that will come with practice, is it worth my $700? fuck yeah!!!!i only could compare it to my bcd 3000, and is like night and day, vci-300 is awesome..

  • onemindspinning do you reckon i should get some VCI 300's?

    Are they the shit?

  • hey i just got my vci-300 n i cant find any scratch samples this this, could u help point me in the right direction

    thanks, doug

  • Right on machaud1, yeah this unit can do everything the CDJ's can and more, only one ten pound unit and a computer needed to rock ANY show.

  • for the price of the unit and for what it can do i would put these in the league of the cdj1000's amazing!! and sick scratching

  • Amazing!!! I'm thinking about buying the VCI 300 and I'm looking for videos to see it working...

  • oh hell yeah man!!! that, was dope!!

  • that's fuckin sikk!

  • Save the Vinyl!

  • i agreed 100% but u know tech is becoming more and more advanced, and thoughi doubt vinyl will ever stop being used, it will deffinetly have compitition. i actually want one of those there cool.

  • who ever gave negative to this comments! are a bunch of cyber bitches who never had the shit in the first place!most of yall never even touch a real table let alone learn how to mix!

  • a Ty kurwa sam dupe liżesz! Kontrolery spoko, ale nie ma to jak prawdziwe deki, a prawdziwych to chyba Ty w życiu nie dotykałeś... Pało!

  • very nice!!!!!!!!

  • awesome!!!!

  • Madlib- 2MC or Not to MC

  • yes!!! very nice scratch!

  • good job
