The go-go dancing guys in drag are actually pretty good.
I've seen this movie. This stage show is being put on by a college fraternity. It's supposed to just be the frat boys performing in drag, but when the curtain opens after this number, it's actually a bunch of real showgirls that a rich kid has paid to perform. Offstage, the guys are singing "Treat Me Rough" while the real girls lip-synch. The show is quickly brought to an end.
Well for me I can't help amuse myself with life's conformists in the crowd ~ way to go Sam The Sham and The Pharoahs ~I hope their still all around nowadays to share wonderful stories of days gone by since.
I read an interview with him back in 2003 in which he was reflecting back on Duane Allman, who played on his 1971 album Hard and Heavy. As of '03 he was working on a Blues collection in his home studio in Memphis. I'm not sure if it was ever released.
I have a DVD of this movie. My friend, Buddy Catlett is actually in it with Louis Armstrong. He plays the bass. He has a page on myspace. It's www.myspace.com/buddycatlett.

"Monkey See Monkey Do" had the distinction of being caught on color film, but was not one othe group's hits.
