  • You must have a sweet nature about you. I know how difficult it is to try and pet a cat who's just not having it.

  • Are you a crazy cat woman like that lady from the Simpsons?

  • Watching this video gives me hope for one of the excruciatingly nasty kittens I have been taking care of. He was okay up until I took him for neutering. Now he spits and hisses even when I am trying to feed him and his Mom and siblings. I was told that if cats are not socialized by 3 months forget about ever socializing them. I see you have proven that notion wrong. Hopefully, one day the nasty kitten will forgive me.. . .I was only trying to help.

  • aw just like my black feral cat but she cant deal with beeing touched when walking around like this *still after six years...* and she never learned to walk up by a humans legs. She do it with doors, corners and furniture, everything except me...

  • Thank you for saving these sweet angels. We also take care and feed several kitties that are feral. The one,Harold, is so sweet and after a year lets me per him and gives me head butts!!

  • Sometimes you can get traps to get the feral cats in-alive of course from your humane society. Take them to a friendly very and get them fixed and tested. We got two of our cats from outside. One as a kitten a year and a half ago..the best cat EVER. He we are convinced is a bombay..they are very vocal fun smart and don't shed much

  • they're adorable...i have a bombay named Baxter...i love bombays...i had one named Sonny until he passed away in April 2010...

  • @kissychaotica oh my.....can you really talk to that cat ?? they can really answer you... ^^

  • Thanks for uploading this...it totally reminds me of the kitty that was living under my house in the middle of freezing cold in January of '03. He somehow got himself stuck one night and I had to free him. He would have rather died than be touched before that, but once I gave him freedom and food he thought I was his savior. It took him about a year to stop acting wacky and hissing. He has a eating disorder, but he's a lovely clean boy now.

  • this is why ppl need to get their pets fixed. =( cats r a domesticated animal and it's just not healthy for them to be afraid of humans.

  • @MusicFreak6893 feral cats will behave like a wild animal... same as feral dogs, and there are plenty of those in eastern europe, and they're killers.

  • I took in two feral kittens last fall. They're amazing! They're both black, but the female has a smudge of white on her chest. Her brother is pure black, but he has shades of brown on his upper muzzle near his nose.

  • Sorry that Jebus disappeared. Perhaps he found a nice feral colony with many female friends to play with :) .

5 years ago we started adopting a feral adult. He'd hiss, yowl, and smash at my hands when I put food outside for him. Now, finally, he's become a lovely house cat. We had him neutered, but we won't declaw cats. He's funny though, even when wild, he never used his claws on me.

  • @77C15 I love your idea that Jebus found some lovin' with some females around here! ;)

Maybe he never used his claws because he instinctively knew you would take care of him. :)

  • @77C15 I hope so... there are so many demented psychopaths out there... just look at the comments on some of the vids around here... I have very dark thoughts about it/them

  • Awwww....he loves you :) Reminds me of a cat that used to come visit me at my old place...really mean at first, but warmed up after I fed him a few times :) You are very sweet!

  • I love my dogs....but my cats feed my soul

  • You're doing such a wonderful thing! Taking care of a stray cat, that is so sweet of you. (:

  • He's a big boy.

  • Jebus is wonderful! I love how he was like, "Yes, of course I want something to eat! What's with the camera?!" lol He reminds me of some of the ferals I've cared for. Wonderful little house you have!

  • @SKaiba It is an awesome house that someone I know through our local volunteer society built for me!

  • awww at first he was like, "stay away from me" and then after you pet him, he's like "oh you're nice! love me"

  • I was so relieved when you pet him. It stopped the "MEOW!" and "C'MON!". :-)

  • Reminds me of when I did the same and cared for a semi-feral baby too for about 6 months.

  • Are his eyes almost white? Pretty but scary.

  • Jebus is battlehardent

  • Ha ha ha Jebus is an awesome name for a cat XD

He's really sweet too! So cute. Those cats are lucky to have a kind person like you looking after them =) <3 xxx

  • You are an angel. Taking care of stray, or feral, cats like that takes a real kind hearted person.

  • @xthrowdownx06 That's a very sweet thing to say. Thank you! :)

  • Thanks to everyone for the kudos! I really miss Jebus. :(

Ths video must be "featured" or something becasue I posted it 2 years ago and have only really been getting views in the past month or so!

  • awesome meowing :)

  • Blackie has been fixed and has her shots. We were volunteers for kindness for kitties in amityville ny. thats how we got involved in cat rescue. it wasnt easy getting blackie to be a house cat, i did get hurt many of times, but it was worth it. she is a sweetheart. everyone told us to give up but we couldnt because we love her and we brought her to somewhere she wasnt used to. so we had to do everything we could to make her feel like she was safe and this is her home. she is our family now...

  • We have a feral cat that we brought from our apartment complex to our home. Yes it does sound crazy but for some reason with a lot of work and patience we were able to bring her here. After a really bad snow storm we were able to bring her inside and now Blackie is a lap cat. She gets along with our other 3 rescues as well... yes it does sound crazy and we were told it was impossible, but I guess we got lucky. She does have her shots and has been spayed. I promise u it was not easy but we did it

  • Wow, it took 2 years just to gain his trust? That's patience! He's a lucky little guy to have you.

  • Awwww, what a sweetie. :) My first cat was a black one and I have a soft spot for those kind of kitties.

Good for you that you take care of strays and ferals...

  • I have two feral cats that won't let me pet or touch them. They hang around my porch and come up to be fed. I wish there was a way to get them treated at the vet and then get them some shelter. My neighborhood is not exactly what you would call cat friendly if there are too many of them. It's great you're helping this cat.

  • It is so nice to see you helping cats that are feral. I have 8 cats one was feral

  • love the video! i took care of a stray at my house who is really a house pet. it took a week for her to trust me and my bf. theres another stray at my bf's house who found out took a cpl of months for him to calm down he was violent, mean, hiss and scratch if u held him for too long. i bought him at ease spray for cats sprayed it everywhere. later on in another month or so, he became a really calm cat. now, he dont mind if u hold him just rub his neck and he will be happy

  • @blueceleste sometimes he will squirm to be put down. u had to be careful as to how to pet him he would scratch or bite. now, u can rub his sides he doesnt freak out. it was the way you touched him would make him freak out. petco told us that he is seeking a mate he was kinda undersocialized i dont think he was feral cuz he came up to us and followed us ever since lol. he acts like he is my boyfriend's pet all the time by the way he sits and waits for us to come back. :)

  • Hope you at least got him neutered. Although he himself can't reproduce, it's important that he doesn't impregnate other ferals wandering around. Plus... they say that male cats have a harder time getting around because sometimes other cats will want to pick a fight with him, which can get really ugly... especially when there's an even bigger risk for cat diseases.

  • @crpsaiyan His full story is in all of the replies I've given to others.

  • @kissychaotica Sorry, I overlooked the responses, but that's great that you got him neutered. :)

  • This is how my adorable and unique calico cat was when I met her. Poor little kitty, I'm glad you were able to comfort him.

  • Great job....I too take care of ferals, and volunter with a local no kill cat rescue shelter....all of my ferals are well cared for, altered, and loved. They don't look scruffy either.....

  • @Furfurface It feels so good to help, doesn't it? I have another video re: the Breakwater cats I help take care of too. :) Great job right back at you!

  • @kissychaotica Yes it does feel wonderful to help these wonderful cats..Thank you. I watched your other video too...Keep up the great work

  • DAT TAIL

  • @MakkaPakka666 That's not true. Besides, I know his story. He is indeed feral. He, and his brother, were born in the shed behind my neighbours house to a homeless cat. They've never had a home. Jebus disappeared 2 yrs ago but his brother still comes to my cat house for food and shelter. I was able to humane trap him and have him neutered. He doesn't look "scruffy" either. Feral cats don't always have to look like they are in bad shape.

  • Thats not feral. Looks like a purebred Bombay. I have one: very chatty and very bossy. Feral cats don't meow at people.

  • @golthimere Feral cats do meow at people. I've been volunteering with a cat rescue organization for 7 years, and they do meow. They aren't all the same. Some do and some don't. Just like any other cat.

  • He looks too well-groomed to be feral.

  • @taylorswift091196 Feral cats, just like any cat, take care of themselves. If you look at my Tribute to the Breakwater Cats, you'll clearly see that those cats look very good and they are feral cats.

  • @kissychaotica haha ok I have some stray cats neat my house though that have mangy fur and lots of lice.

  • Theres a cat that I see on my walk home that im thinking of taking home with me.

  • The statement that he could never be domesticated is a total fallacy! I have 4 cats who look exactly like him and all of them were feral, but are now leeches after only 2 years (for the toughest nut!) The rest took less time than that! And they ALL attempt to come into the house! How you pay attention to them matters as to whether they can be "tamed" or not! I bet I could domesticate him in no time flat!! They call me the "Cat Whisperer!" I have tamed hundreds of ferals, and STILL doing it!

  • If you want the help feral cats, get them neutered, so they don't create more homeless cats.

  • @realisticHomeboy Read my reply to busafwine.

  • Oh my goodness, Jebus has a LOT of things to tell you.

  • @lmbarak Yes. He was a very talkative boy! I miss him still.

  • @kissychaotica I have a feral cat that is living in my garage. Hes starting to not like going outside but I cant get him in the carrier, he keeps attacking me too. He has his nice side but I everytime I turn my back he claws me all up. Hes got a tick on him that I cant get off either. Idk what to do w this cat. Im trying to get him into the carrier and have him neutered and maybe declawed. He started coming around the house like 2 months ago.

  • @G1formation You can probably get him in a humane trap. A local animal shelter may lend you one in order to get him to a vet. But please, please Do Not get him declawed! It's cruel and wrong. (Just my opinion and the opinion generally of cat caregivers.) Good luck helping that poor fella out!!

  • @kissychaotica He disappeared two years ago now. I still miss seeing him on my deck when I get home, patiently waiting for some wet food. The shelter always has dry food in it.

I vehemently agree that cats should never be declawed.

  • this cat looks exactly like the cat living in my yard. I feed it everyday:) It is sooo cute. It always wants to come into my house but i have to shut the door cuz I can't keep any pet in my house. All I can do is make sure it is not hungry

  • @jwwwowww02 Maybe you'll be able to get him to a shelter sometime. Although depending on where you live, that may be a death sentence. We have no-kill shelters here. Hopefully it is already spayed/neutered and there's no concern about having more homeless/feral kittens out there. :)

It's great of you to take care of the kitty. :)

  • typical reaction of a feral cat 2 a human being.(they hav never had experienced life with humans like stray cats have. thats y they act like that)

  • Jebus acts like the "tame" feral cat outside my dorm. She does the exact same thing where she'll meow but walk away a bit when you follow her, and constantly make that sort of unsure meowing noise. Does it mean she wants something? I feed her every day, but it's only some days she'll let me pet her. I wish I could understand her better! She acts JUST like Jebus though with the mewing and the sometimes walking towards you, sometimes walking away bit. Any suggestions?

  • @ker246 I can't say for sure why Jebus acted and meowed the way he did. He was just that way. I don't think he really wanted anything, as he knew I was coming with him to feed him. I think it was his way of saying that he trusted me but still wanted me to know who's boss. :P

It took many years, but eventually he would come over to me, meowing away, just to lay down for some petting and loving. I miss him very much !! I wish I was more helpful to you! Thank you for what you are doing too! :)

  • @ker246 That behavior usually means she wants fed and pets because the are really NOT solitary animals, as people falsely believe! She comes to you and then walks away a bit because she is unsure and untrusting of humans, as they have probably never given her any reason to trust them. Just keep petting her when she asks you, feeding her, and don't give her any startles, or reasons to not trust you, and she will warm up to you soon enough! Good for you for taking care of her! ;~) ,,,=^..^=,,,

  • thats a very nice thing for you to do

  • are they all fixed :) awww

  • @busafwine As you may have noticed, Jebus isn't neutered. I've never had any luck getting him into the humane trap. I did get his brother in it to get him to the vet, but I think because Jebus saw that, he knows better and won't come near it.

All of the others have been.

Actually, I'm heartbroken to say that Jebus disappeared last Fall. His brother still comes everyday, so I assume he is no longer alive. I'm very glad I have so many pictures and of course, this video. I do miss seeing him !!

  • @kissychaotica Poor guy! Probably went looking for a female and met an unfortunate end. It is always sad when we are unable to get them to the vet to be fixed so that they can have a better, longer life! He was an exceptionally handsome fellow, but at least his brother still comes around, and you should be thankful for that and lavish ALL your lovings on HIM!! He is a blessing! As was Jebus! RIP, Darling! ,,,=^..^=,,,
