@Legolas4234 let the multipler at 11 and put the freq. from 266.5 at 300, you'll have 3.3 or so,thats the max you should oc it, dont go beyond that if you have standard cooling

@Insani7y4eva Dont do that , your cpu works fine, he uses only 50-60% of his power when in idle or small tasks, only in full load works at 3.06 ghz, there are 2 options in MB bios that makes it run all the time at 3.06 but it is best for his life time to let him take how much power he needs.

Today E8200 2,66G up to 2,88G. Up one step in bios for voltages and changed multiplier from 8 to 7. Got 800MHz RAMs so CPU FSB is adjusted to match those 800MHz. Could go up to 3,2G but RAM is limited with those 800MHz and a 7,5 multiplier is not much liked by WinXP so i think thats it for me unless i buy better RAMs. IMO it was not nescessary to raise voltages, but i left it that way and all is good for now.

It is almost ridiculous how much one can OC an Exxx CPU :D

i have e4700 core2 duo 2.6 ghz overclocked it to 3.38 without any problem.must say that my previous amd cpu was much easier to overclock with my old asrock mobo,but with intel cpu and p5e mobo its a pain in the ass so much stuff in bios worthless to my mind.downside is that when u change fsb frequency in windows u have to restart ur pc to apply it,when amd didnt require any restart

@FisherTheWisher u can easily oc to 3ghz but u need nice air cooler check also u temps not highter then 65celsios at full working i oc mine at 3.2ghz but higher then 3.3 not recomendet always with water cooling don t forget u setup core voltage step by step and be care my setup for 3ghz was 1.375v core voltage
