  • This tune is popular allo over Uttaranchal. For example, in Swami Dayananda Ashram, they have frequent "Ganga Arati" at around 630pm where the song is sung in this tune while waving the arati - on the bank of the ghat at the ashram; a very beautiful and memorable tradition. this tune is evocative of that tradition for me.
