I had been searching for this record for years at record shows and record shops but nobody ever had it. I found this one last week at a Salvation Army Store in VG+ condition for 49¢.
Bill Cosby should have really recorded more tunes like this- this one peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1967 - but after a successful TV, movie and nightclub career, the singing career just falls by the wayside-
Kinda a copy of Stevie Wonders music from the song Uptight, Out of Sight.

OLE is a common mangling of old - for example in the Grand Ole Opry ???
Its just a written form of how many pronounce it.
Great track though - dancefloor filler in the UK, and I thought it WAS a major US Top 10 hit?

@DoctorRadio - You're right, It reached #4 on Billboard in 1967.

@themoshmenace - Oh good, I thought it was my screw up, but I read the label correctly...even though IT was wrong.

@themoshmenace - You might be right, I may have screwed up there. Too much trouble to fix though.

I just remembered that Stevie Wonder made an appearance on the Cosby show. I wonder (no pun intended) if they discussed this song at the taping.

He took another stab at this in the mid 70s. Look somewhere (good luck) for a Cosby tune called "Yes Yes Yes" where he did a sendup of Barry White.

@actionsub The Cos had several singles out from 1965 all the way to 1977.
