  • que pendejo

  • Robert Plant dancing = awkward. Keep hold of that mic stand, Robbie. No joke.

  • First week out of rehab? Never seen Page this crisp!

  • rockin! great!

  • Drummer kicks ass

  • NOW this is what i call music

  • the greatest guitarist EVER bar none! more imaginative than mclaughlin, howe, beck, hendrix, malmsteen, vai, holdsworth, fripp etc, etc. jimmy page has that mystical quality that sets him apart - cant think of anyone who comes close or even similar ??

  • Beating those drums like they owe him money wow, still no bonzo though.

  • I was at this gig and it was truly outstanding!! The energy that came from them was immense. I never really cared much for Michael Lee's drumming on the Zep tracks. I found it quite "bullish" in comparison to Bonzo's sensitivity, groove and general funkyness. However, after hearing this again he did an outstanding job really when you consider the weight of a legend that he was carrying. The important thing is that it was a fucking awesome show, Jimmy was on fire!!!!!!

  • the drums are sick b!!!

  • what a way to go...an epileptic seizure...i had plenty of my own when i was way young. this guy was just getting warmed up and started even though he accomplished a great deal so early on. RIP.

  • does the drummers head explode at the end of this show? he's a freakin' madman...who is he....he isnt bonhams son i know that.

  • @richsamm Michael Lee, RIP.

  • Love Page & Plant but JPJ DID NOT decline. They didn't ask. And they owe him HUGE. John Paul Jones IS Zep...Plant can't hold a candle to JPJs musical creativity and JPJ carried Jimmy from Physical Graffitti on. This was awesome but the JPJ snub totally wrong.

  • @FrankieFlop they screwed themselves by not inviting Jones .

  • @Tecumseh1812 most likely why there is still no zep today

  • @FrankieFlop I love JPJ but it's ridiculous to suggest that he "carried" Page from Physical Graffiti on. Fuck, he quit the band before recording sessions for Graffiti even started...not many people know that, and of course he came back, but things like Kashmir were demoed with just Jimmy and Bonzo. And yeah, his work on that album is awesome - Jimmy always talks about how much he loves the intro to In The LIght. But he also makes the point - politely - how little help he got on Presence.

  • @mielazul I know...probably should have prefaced that to In Through The Out Door. I play bass and am obviously heavily influenced by JPJ. Never heard that JPJ quit (and kind of doubt it...not sure of your source but if true I'd venture to guess he was getting dissed by Percy!). Bottom line...dude was balls to the wall creativity and never got the recognition...and my point was the snub on this tour was BS. JPJ and Bonzo were inseparable in the groove section. JPJ don't get the credit due.

  • @FrankieFlop I figured you were a bass player - I'm a guitarist. Funny how these things color your views, right?

But then, our views aren't really that different after all. JPJ is a giant, just like the other 3. Hell, I even thought that stuff with Diamonda Gala (sp?) was cool. But you should look up "Jone Paul Jones quit Led Zeppelin" or something like that. Only Grant and Jimmy knew...and they changed his mind...but basically he was exhausted after the insane 73 US tour.

  • @mielazul actually , I offered to join the band , on bass , and so jones felt he should step aside and defer to my massive skills . But , I felt bad for the lad , and decided it would be best just to step back and let old Jonesy keep his gig . I am cool that way

  • @FrankieFlop But I totally wish JPJ was with them on these shows. Believe me I'm a big fan - I saw him right in front of the stage during the Zooma tour, and he was incredible. So, no offense intended.

  • Awesome........

  • 100% ill. Jimmy in rare good form.

  • Who is this beastly drummer?

  • @letmesteer The late Michael Lee.

  • gods on stage........

  • to bad they didnt do dazed and confused

  • Page 'n Plant! Nuff said.

  • @rafa40314 they asked him but he declined... in a good way :)

  • can some one tell me how come John Paul Jones was never included in any of these things..im asking in a good way

  • RIP Mike Lee, rock on Jimmy and Percy!

  • FUCKING WOW THANKS FOR THIS POSTING.REALLYB GREAT.Thanks gaviscon79

  • one of the best shows if not the best show from that tour

  • Who's the drummer... anybody know???

  • @stealthy2

Michael Lee was the drummer for the 95/96 & 98 tours.

  • the 2 douchebags that said that plant and page fucked up you have to be fucking kidding me.You wish you could fuck up that good you losers.who the hell are you ?critics at large?assholes

  • Are you kidding me??? The Power! The Presence! The attitude! Nothing but nothing compares to this!!

  • wow how did you pull this off?great sound great video.thanks gaviscon79

  • I have this tour on dvd as well as 95. Recorded in Dolby digital. it's amazing. Michael Lee was amazing!

  • OMG we miss drummers like the late Michael Lee, may he rest in peace, man he was great

  • wow this was my generations music.i laugh at todays music.theirs one group i dont know who they are but man like i saw them on tv and i could only wish i could have snuck up from behind the singer and hit him right over his head with a hollow body guitar.does antone feel like i do??God rest the greats that have passed.I will never forget SRV/God bless you all

  • Jimmy played great on both 95 and 98 tours, Mike's playing really got Jimmy into things on stage RIP MIKEY!

  • Plant Is Suddenly Back To 75 ahahahhahaha this is amazing!!

    oh and nice call jimmy

    4:37

  • hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hello....they were born 1948.

  • if i ever get to be 1/2 as good as micheal lee my work is done..

  • I love it,

  • Great!

  • where can i download full video¿? :P

  • Good point. He does look great now.

  • Wow Page must have stayed at a Days Inn the night before. He's usually way sloppy. Good for him.

  • Simply put...I freaking_love_these guys.

  • man... I miss Bonham... it was a huge part of Led Zeppelin. It's hard to listen any Zep after he's gone... & Where's Jones?

  • JImmy looks like the OctoMom before she had her litter. He's the man, though. Gotta love Him.

  • @clesterrific yea BUT this is old/ he's in great shape now.

  • @uuunderground meh wtf do u no ? sounds unreal to me ,,,,fuck off with ur ignorance

  • @therealCanablisS I know my own opinion. I know what I like and what I don't. It has nothing to do with ignorance or intelligence. Extraordinary that a person would be so insulted and offended by my opinion of the voice of a singer. You could stand for some anger therapy or medication.

  • And drummer Michael Lee was really into it. Too bad he passed.

  • Page is on fire here!! Good to see him back to what he does best!! He hasnt played this well since 75. Good on him!!

  • they can still play if anyone saw the concert in 2007 you would agree. Its plant who doesn't want to doi it. what a shame

  • 4.35: Does Jimmy dodges the micro of Plant when he starts to dance? lol

  • @jimmipage77 hahah he is asian and therefore a ninja

  • what can you say.....The Kings at play

there music will live long after they depart..

Long Live The Music of The Mighty Led Zeppelin

  • Robert Plant lookin' kinda buff here.

  • @rodentcafeteria damn! don't he?!! He hasn't looked that big and strong since!! LOL But he IS rock-n-roll to me!

  • This is rock n roll!!!!!!! Woooo!!! Page is kinda fat! jaja

  • Man this rocks!!!!

  • If you don't like the stuff Plant is doing with Alison Krauss then you obviously have no musical taste. Not that the Grammys always awards the best albums, but this one won 5. It's quality shit. Definitely a BLESSING that they're working together, far from a shame.

  • Anybody realize the screw up from Plant during "Bring it ..." ?

Anyway, great show and Michael Lee (R.I.P.) on drums, really kicks the hell out of his set

  • Did you notice at 4:40, Page playing in the wrong key? Yikes!!

  • who cares? he is jimmy page!

  • @rodentcafeteria no, you're an idiot. he played a higher key intentionally, if you've ever watched a live show you'd realize it's just his style during live performances to keep it interesting.

  • @rodentcafeteria Pagey wasn't playing the wrong key; studio had two guitar tracks for that part, and he (for whatever reason) chose to play the 2nd track at the moment. Well, at least as far as I can tell.

  • Umm.... this fucking ROCKS!!!

  • hope Plant is happy playing shitty music with Allison Krauss. what a shame.

  • He is.

  • Hehe, nice reflex from Page btw, while playing.

  • 4 minutes 35 seconds..Plant nearly takes off Pages' head...shit

  • Good move by Page! Hilarious. These guys seriously rock. Sick. They are the standard, period.

  • This is some hot shit.

Michael Lee catches a nasty triplet on the bass drum right at the beginning of Wanton. Page is just roaring.

  • Great sound

  • Robert and Jimmy are absolutely on fire!!!

  • o yeah

  • kick ass!

  • Los amooo!

  • Plant its so fucking coool!! even in his 50's

  • Is that Plant's Son In-law on bass?

    I forget his name.

  • Isn't his name Charlie Jones? I can't remember for sure either.

  • That drummer is absolutely blinding!

  • Michael Lee, who sadly passed away earlier this year I believe.

  • Robert Plant would hit Jimmi 2 times who saw?

  • goddamn robert plant looks huge. and huge in the worst way possible....

  • Cut him some slack, he was in his 50's ffs

  • i doubt that robert plant would care that i even said that about him haha

  • ROCKS!~

  • Yeah, that was wicked!

  • WOW this performance is tight.

  • Muy bueno el videooo!!! es un super grupo.. Lee trata de llamar la atencion, pero hay que reconocer que toca muy bien.

  • FUCKING A MAN!! Micheal Lee on the drums..!!

  • As Robert says - its all just one big steal...!

  • RE: Anything "TruthAxe" says: If tempted to respond, remember: Never wrestle with a pig; you both get filthy, but the pig likes it.

  • The blues songs that Zeppelin "borrowed" from were sang and done by numerous people even before the person who zepp copied from did them. Zeppelin took them and twisted it their own little way and made magic. Everyone's style is taken from their influences and shaped into their own way, so wouldn't that make everyone frauds?

  • kill ureself

  • JP fucked up a little at 4:43, but he was always fond of including little mistakes in the final recordings anyway. LZ rules!

  • @kenytco68 yeah but Plant fucked up as well half a minute later

  • R.I.P. Michael Lee

  • Page was in the Yardbirds, so was he really ripping Dazed and Confused off?

  • R.I.P Mike,you fucking rock man!

  • agreed !!this man was a genius!!only greatest musicians die too soon!!!

  • epiiiiiiiiiiiiiic

  • The Heartbreaker solo here is up there with Jimmy's best. Great post..

  • Just to thank you for for posting this concert footage. Have got the audio CD but first time I've seen the footage. A truely great gig. Been a fan since seeing Led Zep for the first time of four in 1971. Nobody comes close. Many thanks again.

  • P for perfect A for ALL time best G for Greatness E for Excellence PAGE!

  • Best rock energy since Zep's better days

  • now back to the topic - I am not a big fan of this clip - they were much better at the Bizarre festival - check out the various Youtube recordings - Rock and Roll in particular is awesome.

  • Mate...you obviously were born with out any taste! I feel sorry for you.

  • Putting aside the dull intro.

The Wanton Song is the perfect song for that hack Jimmy Page to play.

Simple chords, few changes, faux fingering riffs and one note bending solo.

Plant acts like a homo up there on stage.

Bring on Home sounds like noise.

What a dated riff and sound in Heartbreaker and that solo sucks.

Can you imagine being under the age of 30 and liking these washed up has-beens who haven't been since 1979?

This dated sounding music is for those aged 48+.

  • you are a fuckwit

  • You stole time from your life to write that to me?

    So who is the fuckwit?

  • yes you fucking turd sucking wanker

  • Look at you go!

The challenge against the idols you worship threatens your mind.

    It's whipped you into frenzy.

    You amuse.

  • not so dead fuck - I am laughing at you - you think you are smart when you are just another fuckhead - there are plenty of fuckheads around - you are just one more

  • Give 1 800 SANE (7263). It's in Australia.

The call is free to you. Someone is there to help you.

If you have any, your friends shall thank you.

    Your family shall thank you.

  • Well dead shit lets think this through- you are the fuck wit that goes on youtube to write derogatory comments about a band you obviously hate - some advice for you - get a fucking life you suck hole

  • Did you make that call?

Be sure to tell them about your Tourette's.

  • Sorry mate but I am not the one sitting in front of a computer watching a clip I hate by a band I despise taking pot shots at others. You are and thats why I think you are a fuck wit.

  • Your subconscious betrays you and lets the world know that you're a "sorry mate".

Who would watch this video more than once?

I'm writing comments on the comments page.

You've spent more than an hour trying to chat me up, an hour you'll never get back from your life.

    So is the fuck wit?

  • nah your watching the video and that is so funny - you goose - thats why this is so funny - you have fallen into the trap - you have kept me amused during this whole episode you poor sod - hope you have enjoyed the afternoon watching a bad version of the Wanton song - hahahahahahahahah

  • Look at you go!

    You cannot control yourself.

How amusing you are -- a 50 year old man defending his has-been idols who have been nothings since the late 70s.

Keep stealing more time from your life.

I'll keep cutting and pasting the same comments, reworked in endless ways.

Again, so who is the fuckwit?

  • Keep those comments coming boyo - you crack me up - I am ROFL at you!!!

  • looks like the poor little sod has run away and sulked hahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!

  • Are you using your ears? This passed the listening test of hundreds of thousands of people in the year 1998. This was one of the top ten grossing concert tours of that year. They had plenty of exposure in the three years prior, so the enthusiasm of the fans can't be put down to nostalgia. This was a good band, nothing less nothing more. Also, best version of Heartbreaker since 1972. If you can prove me wrong, post a link.

  • Rokarolla I have no idea what you are talking about - I love teh Zeps and I saw Page and Plant live in 95 and they were great - what have I said that offended you?

  • None taken, not even sure if I replied to the right post. I saw P/P 95, 96, and 98, 5 awesome shows in or near Boston and 1 okay show in LA.

I'm totally into this Shep Bush gig. 1 of my favs.

  • by the way keep writing back - you really are a belly full of laughs hahahahahahahahahah!!!!

  • How are you going turd sucker?????????

  • wow, lets take a guess. your into the new rock huh. you mean the ultimate load of bland crap. your such a fag. page ain't half bad but hey i bet your better. Are you concidered one of the greatest rock guitarist of all time? Didn't think so. your just a little punk bitch. So until next time FUCK OFF.

  • What a meddling little ninny you are z1inspector.

Quick, go tell your mommy and daddy too. Maybe you can get me into trouble with them.

  • look just vaporize into another world.

  • so yeah you still a jack ass and i guess there is no dicussing it. really though to discredit jimmy page like that is kinda out there. he has certainly done plenty for hard rock music and if its not your taste then why are you watching the video. if you don't like it so what, there are plenty more who do. so once again fuck off.

  • Yes, Jimmy Plagiarist. What a talent.

Every big-deal song in the Zep catalog ends up being some song Page stole along with lyrics Plant Le Pen stole.

  • lol, so true, i love zepp, but if you search the band spirit, page actually asked the band if he could throw 1 of their riffs into a zepp song.........the begining riff of stairway

  • The whole deal behind Zeppelin was that a bunch of talented musicians, "students of music" and friends with a like minded purpose wanted to take the songs that they loved as kids from Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon, Leadbelly and re-work them. They wanted to energize it and pump it with attitude and pay homage to their idols. Plant still has that same attitude today as he wins grammys with Allison Krauss with a CD full of re-worked classics that time has forgotten. They are masters.

  • The whole deal behind Zep had Page stealing lesser known works of others and passing them off as his own.

Plant holds back Alison Krauss in a bland, dismal recording that includes a rework of Send the Letter from Plant/Page's Walking into Clarksdale.

Grammy = industry insiders patting each other on the back.

  • So why do you care ?

  • You ought to ask yourself for an answer to that one.

I made a comment awhile ago about this vid after coming to check out The Wanton Song.

Since then, others, all of whom care, have insisted on engaging me regarding their idol worship of has-beens Plant and Page.

  • No...I mean I find your view interesting. I rarely hear this. I mean Zeppelin's legacy and influence had been established long before we were both born. With over 400 million albums being sold and eager fans just chomping at the bit to see them re-unite even 29 years after their breakup, speaks volumes. Going after a band's rep, 41 years after they "were born" , seems like trying to argue about the relevance of the california redwood. It's too late. The horse left the barn years ago.

  • Better to be a "has been" than a "never was." Wouldn't you agree?

  • Better to be authentic than a fraud.

Fame is fleeting. In the end, a man must awaken to live with himself daily.

  • Fleeting??? It's been 40 years, man!!! And they're still kicking and I'm sure living quite well on a daily basis.

  • the whole deal with TruthAxe is that he/she is a uninformed, overgeneralizing ass. I CHALLENGE you to listen to and then cite which lesser known works Page "stole" and passed off as his own. If you'd spend the time to actually listen to the actual original recordings that Page supposedly "stole" e.g. "Dazed and Confused" etc. you'll find that Zeppelin's versions bear little resemblence to the originals that he allegedly plagarized.

  • OK apologist.

Ripping off from others, in essence stealing money from them is cool with you.

    We get it.

  • You still have not cited which works Page allegedly stole. I will reiterate, since you keep regurgitating the same tired assertion--tell us which songs are obviously plagiarized { not lyrical content--we all know about "Whole Lotta Love" }.

  • true, in a way. but most popular music is. still. i don't think he is the greatest or anything like that. but good, that he is, he did copy plenty of songs from whole lotta love to gallows pole, i can't quit you and plenty others. although the arangment and overall sound was typically different. i know that he has copied plenty. but overall the guy is pretty damn good. you might just have something up your ass.

  • The lyrics to Gallows Pole are lifted from a Medieval English folk song/poem dated to the 1500s.

The Wanton Song could have been good with a better arrangement.

Click on it to the right for my commentary.

  • I don't know if Jimmy knew that mike stand coming at 4:35, but he ducked just in time!!

  • page and plant fucking rock. this is awesome

  • no mames q chingon una de susu mejores rolas

  • man lee is fucking those drums and cymbols up

  • To bad he died, what a shame! RIP

  • Plant is the greatest performer on earth

  • ha! anyone would look good with that music behind them.

  • Thanks! I needed that!

  • 09:07 that felt like a musik orgasm to page lol

  • Wow.....Page is on!

  • Page goes sharp at 4:40.

  • this is rockin, but his drum beat is not as cool as bonzo's and really rushed. but what do you expect....big shoes..

  • Doesn't sound rushed to me. RIP Michael Lee.

  • it has to be twice as fast as the record, sounds like they did a bunch of blow before they went on. don't get me wrong it kicks ass but it loses alot of the style of the orig in my opinion. the black crowes / page version is cooler i think. but if robert and jimmy are there and they like it, they probably wouldn't care what i think :)

  • nor me, super job all round.

  • AWESOME

  • elvis moves at 4:19 XD
