Dear Aruna,

Thanks again for this wonderful rendition by Neville Aiya (as I called him). I knew that he learnt Spanish very diligently before he sang Spanish songs. After Los Caballeros some other SL groups started singing Spanish songs. They kill "Spanish" with lousy pronunciation. Neville never failed to come with his guitar to our Church feast at Kotugoda (Ja-ela). I am glad that you have these audio and video clips that you share on YouTube. Many thanks again.

The comment about Neville's pronounciation takes me down the memory lane to an article published about Neviile & the group on Sunday Oserver in 1969. It stated that Neville made sure that he pronounced the words correctly. Pity that we lost him young.
