To think in a few years this will be 20 years old and still the safest plane in the skies today! To think about where she has come today is truly amazing. We got the 777-200ER then the 777-300 then the 777-300ER then in 2005 we were gifted with the longest flying twin aircraft to date, the 777-200LR! I can't wait to see what Boeing has in store for the next gen on 777s and hope I will be in the right hand seat of one, one day!

I remember hearing that the 777 was so smooth on the first flight, the landing gear was retracted so more test could be conducted. This was in the PBS/BBC special about the making of the 777.

@TheSaadAhmed125 The A380 is a financial burden for Airbus. Most airports don't have the necessary landing/takeoff support for the A380, only 5 airlines fly A380s, and most airlines fly smaller payloads at more frequent trips on their routes these days. The reason why Boeing never built a fully double-deck plane is because they KNOW that it won't be profitable for them.. This is the SAME reason why they never built a super-sonic transport in the 70s.

This is just great! 3 members of my family are qualified at 777-300ER and this plane has a large cockpit and brings the confort to the crew members and the passengers onboard. Now it's time to focus on the Dreamliner and I really hope it will not finish as a "dream" and that it will really come.I'm very confident that Boeing will find a solution for this plane and I'm hoping that it will be as competant as the B777. @vicarexar For the most part I agree except the A330 which is a great jet I believe. In my opinion the A380 represents everything that is wrong with modern commercial aviation. The 787 represents much more personal service. It is about comfort where the A380 is about packing people in.
