Against any half decent defending team the attack helo is a non feature. It only takes one guy to soflam and you'll have a couple guys javaling to destroy the chopper in seconds. Even the Amtrac gets killed quickly in such a setup
@yourmistress007 There are ways to deal with it. You can use ECM and cover, talk with your gunner on voice chat about where the SOFLAM is. Remember you can be hidden and fly along the coast-line all the way up to where the SOFLAM is and take it out with the splash damage from both attack helicopter weapons, you can also get out of range and let your gunner use TV Missiles to take out the soflam. Most just plant it and forget about it, so they don't actively chase you with the soflam.
@OshiSeven That's only possible if you have a way to communicate with your gunner and or the both of you have all the chopper unlocks. Sadly without voip there really isn't anyway of telling your gunner to focus on the soflam first, because on their own they wont do that. It isn't like BF2 where everyone knew to first tv the static aa stations before you flew over them, especially on wake. At least BF3 isn't yet to this stage.

I only lose on attacking on this map if some retard constantly takes the chopper or if the team is just sitting back as usual.
