Very helpful, I am going to get a telescopic rod for crappie/panfish jigging from a belly boat AKA float tube, any tips on what rod I should get? as far as action/length etc
@boozouz the orange line is the whip's elastic which is used as a shock absorber for the fish, which gently weakens the fishs' strength, they come in a wide range of strength depending on what you are fishing for.

seriously you only had to use the disgorger because you didnt strike quick enough. you can clearly see that the float went under three times then rose before the float belted off. you know what you are doing but before you go on camera focus on the float aswell as the camera.x
You're a fucking mug..he struck as soon the float went under..I bet you're like the twats I see on my local lake..striking at nothing when the float hasn't moved, then you wonder why you catch fuck all.
cool thanks! does the hook come out that easily if it is barbed?please answer!!

i thought it's unusual to use elastics when fishing with a telescopic pole???
alohevera 1 year ago
@alohevera
Nothing unusual about it..if you're catching bigger or even medium sized fish it's best to have an elasticated whip.
You can use what's called a Flick Tip, where you just tie line onto the end with no elastic, but that's for smaller silver fish.
