The Universe was born from a confluence of gases, according to the orthodoxy of "atheism." This explains, in part, as to why "atheists" shun libraries.
for the love of God, nothing against darwin, but evolution by natural selection was propossed long before darwin. i wont deny hes greatness as a biologyst , im sick and tired of darwin getting the price alone, what happen with al jahiz, ?? or with kant???? come on.
All homosexuals are "atheists," yet only 88.31% of "atheists" routinely engage in homosex. Statistics like these are life-affirming to the non-gay minority. Why do homosexuals find Darwinism, "atheism," self-mutilatory practices & collectivism so attractive? The murder-rate, recidivism and taxes are up as our young women & men wallow about on the floors, pitiably moaning for their mothers to "cook" another "fix."
Lincoln freed no one. He ended federalism & states' rights. His illegal war cost the lives of 620,000 Americans; destroyed 40% of Dixie's economy and maimed millions.

Only a healthy brain can categorize an image. Nonetheless we are greatly crippled by our meager senses. The physical laws as we know them are just that: as we know them. [At the Nuremberg show trials the soldiers, and political underlings, of defeated Germany said that they were just following orders. Young men fight these wars of pelf because their fathers have failed them.]
Today there are domestic house cats, descendants of cats marooned on the Galapagos Islands by pirates 400 yrs. ago, that survive on grasshoppers. These cats are lean & mean, yet they remain cats. They've adapted their tastes to survive. They have not "evolved" transitional traits to accommodate the harvesting of grasshoppers; nor have Galapagos' grasshoppers physically "evolved" to thwart the attacks of cats. As some Darwinists must know: cats don't normally relish the taste of grasshoppers.

Darwinists preach an interesting supposition, (although the electric sun hypothesis has more going for it) but the Earth of 100's of millions of years ago remains unknown to Man. Similarly: the Great Pyramid at Giza cannot be replicated even with modern hydraulic equipment. Go figure. Practical/analytical/purposeful science must be given top priority. Darwin's take on Sumerian pseudo-science, though clever, has failed to evolve beyond a nuisance for serious researchers.
Chuckles Darwin put forth, as a lark, a hare-brained supposition that had been floating around since the days of Sumero-Akkadian culture, that unchecked evolutionary processes rule the planet. He knew that, with the advent of superior technologies, his cartoonish take on life would fall by the wayside.
He was an excellent speaker. He was funny and informative. He's also a little league umpire and a baseball fan, so expect a few baseball metaphors in his talk. :-)
The last ~5 minutes were mostly apologist arguments for reconciling science & religion. His theology is basically "God works through nature"; he rejects Gould's NOMa.
But overall it was a great talk; he's very charismatic.
Where Crick&Watson really that insightful or did they push themselves in the right place at the right time? Reading Crick's "Amazing Hypothesis" did not seem that deep and he or Watson has said simpleton things about races.
I think that "Origin of the Species" is the most important book ever written because it not only explains the diversity of life on earth and how we can understand why we are the way we are, it also gives us a tool to help us understand the process of CHANGE.
Ken Miller rocks my face. A friend once asked me what I thought THE greatest book ever written was and without hesitation I answered The Origin of Sppecies.
He seemed suprized by this and asked me why. To which I replied: because it showed man's REAL place in the universe.
Darwin, being an agent of Satan, gave us Nazis and eugenics. Without him, the goal of developing a master race capable of opposing God would be impossible. For this, we shall be eternally grateful, unless God wins, in which case we'll all burn for eternity in a lake of fire. Hopefully that won't happen though. Praise Darwin.
Funny. I know you're being facetious but the implications for ethics are immense and a lot has been written and debated about it. For instance, how do we justify experimenting on other animals yet hold humans sacred? It's only a choice...and throughout history people have chosen to ignore this distinction...because they can.

HOLY FUCK! You got an INTERVIEW with KEN MILLER!!!
FUCKING KICK ASS!!!!!
You just crushed all the pride I had in getting Richard Dawkins to say "Hello Heathens" for me.
I bow to your superiority. You are hereby to be known as KING Macul.

ONE of the greatest biologists who ever lived? Hmmm. I'm not a biologist, so maybe I'm just missing it, but: who else even comes close?

With no moral absolutes: Is killing an "atheist" immoral? It's a question that belongs to the ages. There are no easy answers.
