I learned more about CPUs and motherboards in this single video than I have reading the wiki entries and watching other people who speak perfect English.
I bought a intel core 2 duo for my pc and I go to staart it up and it powers up but nothing comes up on the screen, and my pc does a beep when it is about to load up, it doesn't do it and the yellow or orange light doesn't flash, if you could help me figure out this problem idd be veryy gratefull
@Jungelsucks ya it should work fine. it just won't be as productive. you also won't be able to take advantage of the fact that 64-bit operating systems can handle a LOT more ram. 32-bit can only handle up to 3gb of ram, and 64-bit can handle a lot more
Will this cpu fit in my computer?Intel Pentium E6700 Wolfdale 3.2GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775.My desktops socket is lga 775 so can any cpu with a lga775 socket work? Here are the cpu specs on my pc.•Operating speed: Up to 2.2ghz
•Socket: no socket (this processor is soldered onto the motherboard)
Processor upgrade information
Socket type: 775
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
@cl1xor I don't know why, but sarcastic imitation of pelple with speech problems combined with major misspelings makes me laugh. I mean, I like your coment. tums up!
you put too much thermal paste..any of that comes out onto the sides and touches the base of the socket will melt it..you only need a little dab in the center of the cpu and the thermal grease will spread evenly..
@RicardoLima1992 you were lucky..any contaminants get in there its almost impossible to get it out without damage..i accidentally put a spec of thermal grease on my 9770 cpu..it works but i was lucky enough to get away with cleaning off.
intel's instruction video says not to use thermal compound during installation because the fan already comes with it. can anyone elaborate on this matter?
it felt lke i broke my board and cpu fice times puting this damn fan in. Too afraid to take it off for a look though cause i dont want to install it again. Hope it works on boot fucking intel....
who the hell will actually do it like that?, i just put a P4 processor in this morning, took me no more than a minet lmfao, also anyone no how to install a custom heatsink that hasnt got the stupid quick pin thingy
This guy doesn't ''just'' has an English accent, i understand that you speak it out wrong, but i don't understand words like ''motherboar'' and ''fewly''
another stupid american who thinks everybody in the world must speak fluent english. It's obvious that English isn't his native language so of course it wouldn't be flawless
anyway, dude wtf how much paste you need?????? might as well not even installed the fan as it wont do anything with a 3 inch barrier of thermal paste. . . .
Jesus a lot of thermal paste!! That CPU is totally isolated, and can not transfer it's heat to the cooler. I even think these stock coolers are provided with thermal paste from the factory that should be cleaned off before using a third party grease. That CPU will be cooled extremely insuffecient!
all other components are new (max 5 months old), while playing gta 4, the pc freezes after 10 - 20 min, from 40fps to 1 - 0fps asrock disapointed me :(
aSROCK is very budget, that mobo is very old, gta4 is VERY new... i would not bank on that either to run modern games, its almost a decade out of place... Where the hell did you find that thing anyway? Ebay?
no i build my pc by myself i bought this shit MB from a cheap shop, the chief said
"oh this is a verry verry good one take it for €70" it was in 2006 i though this mb was new, and btw 2 HDDs are fuckd because of shitty 7pin sata connectors, there is only a plastic piece in the middle
Because LGA refers to "Land Grid Array", the type of socket it is. AMD CPUs are "Pin Grid Array", it helps to differentiate what kind of socket it is.
Oh yeah i've had ASrock for 6 months and no trouble yet its stable even over clocked to 3.6GHz orginal intel core 2 duo 2.8 Ghz each on stock intel fan temps at around 80 degrees idle and 95 to 106 on full load
