@Theone563 This strategy works best with Storm because she has the most range on her attacks out of all the other characters. A good strategy for the other characters is to do a dive kick from far away and hit blob with it right before you touch the ground, that way you have time enough to move out of the way of his attack.
@ilv244 - As of October 9, 2010, Marvel and Konami have FINALLY announced the 1992 X-Men Arcade Game will be released soon on PlayStation Network for PS3 and X-Box Live Arcade for the X-Box 360!!!!!!!
@ilv244 - The MAME rip isn't worth listening to. I got the REAL DEAL and it sounds EXACTLY like the actual tracks from the original arcade. I'll send you the PM.
Not in the era where the designs for these characters come from. These were derived from the (intended) cartoon series' pilot "Pryde of the X-Men", which ostensibly plays in the 70s era.
If only this game would've been released on the SNES in 1993, it would've been phenomenal!...Turtles in Time, another Konami game, became a masterpiece and the best TMHT game EVER MADE! It could've happened the same with X-Men Arcade game!
only shitty part of this game was,If you wanted to use your powers it would drain your life.If this happen in the comics or tv show their wouldn't be any xmen
Well... good and bad. Good in that it's awesome, bad in that it shouldn't have happened. It's kind of like "VICTOLY! A WINNER IS YOU!" in that regard.
wahaha aight...I remember that I played this game in the arcade hall and I liked it immediately. 3 player mode with my nephews. Wolverine, Cyclops and storm.
is this the version where you can manage the 3 diferent hits by pressing in diagonal? or the 6 players style? wich has nothing of this nothing even energy recharges and mutant power help ingame, but i refer specially in the "diagonal" option
VIDARX, what do the numbers at :11 mean? Because if this is an emulator, my computer wont allow me to play the game because it says the required files are missing. And I think the required files are the numbers that show up at the :11 mark
Say! Thanks for your strategy regarding defeating The Blob and I don't necessarily have to use my Mutant Powers to finish him off. Now I can play the game without wasting a lot of quarters. :D
i wish the movies were this fast paced, and action packed, the movies were to jumbled, and slow, with too many people and cameos running around, and rogue should have been off the hook!
The music in the second level is so good it makes me want to sing alot with it. It's one of the many things I remember from playing this game as a kid. The music, sound effects and voices are all so good its hypnotic.
I wish it they had made a console version - it's a damn shame you can only see it on Youtube these days.
Your not the only one! Theres a sense of adventure in it! I get into a fighting mood when I hear it! Stage 6 is the best though! It feels like your going deeper into Magnetos twisted mind!
Love the 2nd level theme music! Also like the variety of mini-sentinels! Multi colored Ted Turner style, and the ones that look like Samus from Metroid and Juggernaut had a baby! Also the evil runaway factory equipment! X-men rule!
i know this game but the original arcade x-men and the same palces but these has some difirrent things i know that, AND I ALWAYS LOVED TO PLAY STORM MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER.
The elavator noise sound sthe same as the elvator from Streets of Rage on the Mrga Drive (or genisis as you call it is America). Why did you call it Genisis in America anyway?
"We" didn't call it anything -- Sega of America dictates what their systems are called in the US, not us, the consumers...it's like asking why the Japanese call small dumplings gyoza and we call them pot-stickers. Ask the people that came up with the names.
Storm. A wise choice. She was easily the best character in this game, her reach advantage allowed her to beat many of the bosses while standing perfectly still. You know where I can find music from this game?
As stated in the description, the game is on factory default settings. The default settings are the parameters you would find in virtually every arcade machine on the streets.
You excellent at this! I bet you won't be short of credits after playing this!! I give your x-men arcade videos 5 stars always! Is storm your favourtae character or is she the only one who can make it to the end wothout getting hit much?
Pyro used to be a good mutant in X-Men 2, but has turned out to be a bad mutant to be one of Magneto's henchman.

What the heck. I try this same strategy on the blob and when he is almost dead, he takes more than one hit to put down.

7:52 if you destroy all of the drones or whatever you call you can take to the alternate route which is shorter and easier to get to The Blob.

My favorite X-Men of that era are Cyclops and Nightcrawler.
Wonder what it would have been like with Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Banshee, Thunderbird etc.
Daniel4646 2 years ago
They could have made a game with Jean Grey as
one of the characters but Banshee and Thunderbird are both dead.

I love everything about this game except losing energy for using the mutant power (c'mon, it's already limited)
& that it started over after the ending (makes no sense- just end it after the awesome ending *.*).
Good runthrough. I took few hits after learning the enemy behaviors as well.

haha nice strat on Blob. I had no idea. =P
and yeah, storm is probably the most broken out of all the characters, considering her much larger reach on melee with her staff compared to others.
Wolverine comes at a second if he's standing the right distance away, but storm all the way.

the last on the blob he said "Nothin moves the...Ahhhghhh".

for some reason, interrupting an x-men villain would be a good idea to create a sketch on Robot Chicken based on the arcade game.
