Of course the Bible speaks of astronomy, but not in the way that they have portrayed to you, as Chris here explained. I can't believe that some people try to rationalize Christ into nothing but happenings in the sky. What concrete proof do any of us have that any of the characters of the bible actually lived. We have none. We have no proof that Jesus died on the cross. We believe because this is what we were told when young. We were told by people who were told the same thing when they were young.We need to research our beliefs, don't just believe because some one told you this was so. This guy doesn't have a clue as to what he's talking about. When it's talking about the sun not moving for three days, they are talking about the sun's declination. The sun achieves a declination of -23.26 degrees on the 20th of dec. It stays at that declination through the 21st,22nd and 23rd. On the 24th its declination changes to -23.25 and it continues to reduce from there. This happens every winter soltice. u can use the same app he's using to see this.

I am gonna stand up and I am not gonna take this anymore. I am going to get a planisphere and find all these stars and see who is right and who is wrong. This video has a lot of evidence in it. I just need that planisphere to verify where these stars are and when they are there. Like where are the 3 kings and Sirus at 7:30pm on December 24th. I think that is the earlies time that they rise. Also, I think that at that time of the year they point exactly the same spot the rises.

@Maber01 If you really start doing research, the whole of the bible will be open to you. It'll make a lot more sense, you'll see what the ancients were doing. There is an ancient argument going on within the bible. The argument is what path will you follow, the path of the sun as moves through the 12 constellations, as it follows life cycle of birth(springtime), kingship or inheritence(summer), eventual decline(the fall) and finally death(winter). Or will you follow the 6 northern constellations

@Maber01 The six nothern constellations neither rise nor set, they do not follow the life cycle. These constellations figure prominantly in the bible if you know where to look. Most of the bible is just science that was brought out of Egypt by Ancients who disagreed with Egypts veneration of the Constellation Drago and Drago's star Thuban, which was the pole star in ancient times. The Egyptians who left still followed the path of the sun along the ecliptic for signs and seasons.

Hi to all you fellow atheists out there. I don't know if someone mentioned this before but there is another video out there that destroys most of the astrotheology claims. Search for "Zeitgeist Refuted Final Cut (Full Movie)". It is worth watching. If the evidence in that movie proves to hold up, it exposes astrotheologests for the liars that they are. If it does not convince you or make you question the idea, you have become indoctrinated into astrotheology and can't call yourself an atheist.

I would just like to add one thing that I have not seen mentioned and don't know why. In the bible Jesus sends out his 12 Apostles and 72 Disciples. There are 12 constellations of the zodiac and 72 other constellations. How can this be a coincidence? Go to Wikipedia and type in 72, click on "72 the number" and you will see this confirmed there. I also wonder if this might have something to do with the 72 virgins in the sky according to Muslim beliefs. Just something to think about.

The 3 day death of the SUN(Winter solstice) was located in that area at the time..which brought on the story of Jonah and troubled waters and then SACRIFICING himself into the belly of the WHALE(for 3 days). finally - I say this coz quite simply it's true. Ancient astrology had immense knowledge of the solar system and the greater galaxy. This is carved in stone. Ancient astrologers were quite aware of the earth's wobble, that it was globular, that it rotated around the sun and where the precise centre of the galaxy was. @brocqy12 - Moses is a tricky word, it's a Greek tanslation of a Hebrew translation of an Ancient Egyptian word but could loosely be translated as, He who moves the waters. I think it should be noted that the Hebrews didn't worship physical objects, they worshipped, or tried to master what those objects represented within themselves. That is where Zeitgeist fails. Water is representative of consciousness.

Good video put some good points out there. However I have a point of my own. Astrology to a certain extent is real. The stars do give signs of the future, like the pharoah look into the stars and saw the a son would be born that would destroy his kingdom, in otherwords Moses. But this knowledge isn't pure and is forbidden to religion.

Let me remind the creator of this video to check your astronomy a little better. The display of stars (in the zodiac order) in the sky depends on what latitude you are in. Are you lattitude correct? Where stars are constillated either in Northern Europe or the Middle East makes a big difference.Most of the astrotheology story doesn't make sense in the South pole regions because they see a different constillation. You are refuting based on a zodiac constillation from another region.

Jesus, like the myths of Horis, Khrisna, Mythra & the like are medaphores of truths that devious people converted into physical beings to use as basis of control & to keep us from seeing their true meaning. Dude for the first couple of centuries the believers of Jesus had no power. They were the outcast who were murdered for their beliefs. So how is that a basis of control? The trinity of Jesus doesn't include mary and are 3 in 1 not 3 different entities like the other trinities you pointed out. Also gnostic mysteries were fabricated centuries after Jesus and the apostles died. They are only speculation as far as true history is concerned.

I don't know how many people take those 'truthers' seriously but I don't know of any historian even suggesting that Jesus might have not existed, but was a personification of the sun! I mean there's so much evidence inside and outside of the Bible, that shows Jesus is real, and He died on the cross. But the bigger lies they say the more probable they look, it seems to me. When you take into account all the evidence we possess for the Jesus stories being mere replications of that of solar deities', and then all the evidence we have for Jesus' existence, one has to question mainstream thought.

If we were to strip all the blatant mythological solar aspects of the Christ character, we would have nothing left; the person we'd find would be so removed from the Gospels that it would be incredulous to regard him as Jesus of Nazareth.

You don't have the right to judge who is a serious historian. If they can produce research that is well sourced (as much of what we're reffering to is - and that's not an opinion) then you have no basis in outright rejecting it simply because it doesn't fit in with your beliefs.

There are plenty of serious historians that uphold Jesus as myth - especially a lot that don't specialise or write in that area, unfortunately.

As I said the 'Jesus myth' is a myth. It is probably one of the stupidest things to say that Jesus never existed and you will realize it eventually, I just hope it wouldn't be too late then.
