little side note to xperl users, If you are tanking make sure your pet unit frame is moved away from all the encounter clutter so you can release your pet. Took two wipes to figure out my problem, by then the PuG fell apart /facepalm

Well, if you double click the crystals, it'll automatically dispel and you're boned. So click ONCE. This raid is about good execution, and knowing what to do.

He has a very nifty interface, I think he should devote a video tutorial explaining what does what, could be very cool ;)

PS : high end computer required though, don't expect to run that kind of interface smoothly on old computers ;)

my raid couldnt do this guy on 10 man because they said the tanks both need vent or it doesnt work. the MT and OT didnt know when to taunt was the prob, and the OT couldnt go on vent becuz he didnt have it. XD

The OT and MT need to watch for those Bones around other Understudies guy. When it fades press 6 and 5 and spam 4.4.4.4.4.4 .

25 man is so annoying. You never have shadow priests, because most priests rolled to heal not do damage. So what often happens is you take two healers with some +hit gear to do it. Two healers who can't heal during the encounter, and low on hit.

I know very few shadow priests and my guild has none. One of the least played classes back in the day and now pretty rare.

In 25 man u will need only 2 priests, as there will be two orbs. Remb this as a quite hard boss, but may have been late switching between tanks before boneshield wears off.

Did this fight the other night. Finally got him down after a couple attempts. A few times though after releasing the understudy I was unable to take control of him again. Sometimes I could take control right away. Other times I would have to click 3-4 times on the crystal before it stopped giving me a warning messege, and by that point the understudy was hitting on the healers.

I had exactly the same problem tonight when starting the encounter.

I tried to MC the understudy but I kept getting an error message 'this target cannot be mind controlled' or something similar to that.

Needles to say the other understudy died and we f***** wiped.

After some research found out that the orb only mindcontrols the nearest understudy.

Otherwise your orb will try to MC the understudy that is already being controlled by the other guy in your raid.

Walking in the field, taunting your own understudy and then quickly using the orb fixed this and we got the instructor down without any more problems knowing this.

in the 25-man there are no orbs so priests have to use mind control, in the 10 man.. usually the lowest on dps (usually the tanks) should use the orbs to control the understudies
