Transform is just a great album. I love their older stuff and newest stuff (by that I mean SOTOSON, I just can't get into DWYE at all), but there is some great stuff on this CD. I don't think its so much different from their old sound or heaviness that you can't tell its PM5k, and the lyrics are really good too.

i like old powerman better. they were heavier and just sounded better imo. and for all you idiots who think bands need to change to keep people interested you are DEAD wrong. just take a look at metallica. they changed and now metallica fans are pissed. now take a look at iron maiden who haven't changed their style since number of the beast (except when bruce quit). they haven't changed a bit and the fans still love their music.

My problem with the older Powerman is that they were overly industrial, and depended way more on effects than lyrics. The newer stuff that's more "mainstream punk" lacks the old Powerman feel without the effect, but I differently think the trade off is worth it. I just wish they'd go back to the old sci-fi themes, but keep the less metal sound. The crazy industrial background noise/effects really took away from their talent because it covered everything else up.

This is PM5K, all of their music is exactly what they are. They've NEVER been a band to settle down. They originally had a major rap vibe to their music with the groove of funk style. Then they became so much more industrial metal. This was much more alternative/metal for them. I'm glad that they've never stayed the same because it keeps the music fresh, new, and above all different. If you want them to never change, then you want to kill music.

For the record, this band aren't nu-metal, and this song isn't nu-metal. The band actually come from a metal/rap-style beginning, and though they have mostly dropped the rap-style of vocals, they still aren't nu-metal. Korn are nu-metal, (don't try dispute this children, if you aren't old enough to remember their first single release, you aren't old enough to have a valid opinion, Korn are really the founders of nu-metal).

I percieve that the song is about who mainstream society thinks you should be. So the song is telling people to wakeup alittle "...living so free is a tradegy, when you can't be what you wanna be..."

To me, they're saying not to follow the crowd, don't just be like everyone else, be who you actually are, not what the TV and mags tell you to be.

I don't think it means, "everyone should be goth/punk/emo, not fashion following morons", I think it just means, don't be afraid to be yourself.

What a double standard. Everybody wants BIG budget videos but doesn't want to buy the bands music. Its not the evil record labels fault, its the fans..the label puts up a TON of money for a band to do a video, tour, promote etc. If the fans don't buy the shit..they get dropped from the label, simple-- the label can't afford to lose 250,000 bucks or more each video, 500G-1 million on an album that won't sell..
